• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I don't get to take my dogs on the spyder as some of you lucky riders do. The only animal I ride with is Nan. On saying that our dogs do a varied array of activities including Agility, Comfirmation, Herding, Rally, and in Jake's case He was in training for Serch and Rescue. At two yrs. old we had his hips x-rayed, as we do with all of our dogs, and found out he had a bad hip. One vet told me to put him down. Now at 6&1/2 he is still going strong.

Yellow dog is Kersins Trolli, Black dog is Vinlands Brana, & Brown dog is Choclate Supreme x-ray jake. nan & I are with them.

Pic of Jake & I is just after completing a successful training search for a lost person.

Wondering what activities other Spyder Ryders do with their pets.

Glad you didn't listen to your vets advice

Its great seeing all the different activities that you do with your fur-kids, it can be very rewarding:yes::2thumbs:

As for Teddy, he's an Emotional Support & Therapy Dog & we go to DayCares, Childrens Homes & especially Senior Homes & he makes ppl happy wherever he goes:yes:

With the wars having so many wounded soldiers, I've thought about checking into seeing if our local VA would be interested in Teddy paying a visit to wounded Soldiers:p seems the least we can do for those that have risked it all for our freedoms:bowdown:

We have 6 rescues, 2 Pure Bred Lab sisters, 1 Blue Heeler and 3 Shih Tzu mixes no relation to each other. The 3 big ones lounge in the house and have an Astro Van that my husband (Fencepost) bought and fixed up just for hauling them around with him. The 3 Shih Tzus ride with us wherever we go. Two ride on the back of my husband's Harley and 1 rides behind me in a carrier in the co-rider seat on my RT. We love to travel with our pets so they get to go wherever we go. We are still waiting on the Animal Planet Cruise since they aren't welcome on Princess yet! They all love to shop and places like Home Depot, Lowes, Tractor Supply, Hobby Lobby and many more welcome the little shopper into their stores.

Pet therapy is great! Done it with all three of mine. Syracuse NY VA hospital welcomes Therapy Pets - Hope it is the same at all VA hospitals.

Does Teddy have a Canine Good Citizen Certificate?

Being new to ryding my Spyder RT-S I haven't had our little Shih-Tzu on it yet but she is itching to go. She does participate in all our activities, like camping in the RV, hiking, boating, working on the farm, mowing, and her favorite is posing for photos. Most dogs have jobs to do, Border Collies herd, labs retrieve, well Cassie poses for photos. Oh, by the way, I have many more photos. I'll share more later.

We have yorkies and they don't do any thing. They're hand carried every where, live a life of luxury, eat much better than I do.

Prority order in our house

I imagine their biggest purpose is to keep everybody happy, except for the mailman, and that is a big job at times. I'm last on the list to!!

Cassie is a classy looking girl! What is her hourly rate for mowing the lawn?

Nan's niece just retired her beagle from agility, he is 14 yrs old. I smell rabbit stew, as Elmer Fudd would say.

USER NAME SAYS IT ALL

We have 3 miniature schnauzer kids. One black, one white, one salt & pepper. We refer to them as our pack, which they allow us to be a part of. They give us hours of comedy relief, unconditional love at the end of a hard day, companionship, and at bedtime, they allow us a sliver of the mattress as all five of us clamor into bed!;) Our oldest has graced us with his presence for 17yrs. Has a little dementia, but all in all good health. Couldn't imagine life without them!

We just got back froma 160 mile hop with Tink; our Pomeranian, nestled comfortably in her "Outward Hound" carrier...
The only problem that we have when she's with us, is that she wants to ride on all of the other bikes that she sees along the way... I feel as if I'm cheating her by only giving her rydes on the RT...

I have 2 beagle-mixes. Mollie had a tumor removed from her face in July. It came back as cancerous.... :( I'm just enjoying her as much as I can before I have to make that terrible decision. So far, her blood tests have come back clean, so she's not full of cancer....yet. The tumor was a very aggressive form, so it's inevitable.... My parents' dog (Mollie's sister) had the same thing. Had to be put down in January--2 weeks before their 5th birthday. The whole litter was doomed from the start.

Mama was rescued and had been hit by a car. The vet the guy took her to didn't bother to check if she was pregnant before x-raying her ENTIRE body!!! Then he still didn't realize she was pregnant!!!! These pups were xrayed at least 2 times (before and after leg surgery) and put under anesthetic!!! Poor things were bound to get something..... I'm just glad the 5 of them were given to good homes for their time on this earth!! I'd do it again in a heart beat!!!

As for the other one, he's not related to them in any way (by blood) except that he's a dog too. I just know he'll be around until he's 15 or 16. I just got that feeling when I picked him out!! Rocky will be 5 in December.

Now, if the heat would go away, we could start taking walks again!!! I couldn't take them when it was so hot in the early summer, then Mollie's surgery and such. Now back to the heat. It should be going away after tomorrow. Maybe evening walks can take place again!!!

Even if could get him to ride ,You have to strap him down.

Why wouldn't you WANT to? :dontknow:

Put a vest on them, and then tether that to something solid...

But it iS a stupid law... :gaah: Why would they think that they can legislate common sense?
