• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OEM Style Mirror Turn Signal Lights

After all the looking at the LED Strips, Arrow stick-on, etc. I decided to spend some more hard earned money ($219.00 to be exact) on getting the first set of OEM factory style mirror turn signal lights from Muth Mirrors. Muth has a S-mod program where you send them your mirrors and they will replace the mirrors with the factory style mirror with build in arrow lights. They complete the process and ship them back in 7-10 days. Mine took 6 business days to complete and 3 days each end for UPS shipping. Their box was better packed then the one I send them and everything is in perfect condition.
All I had to do is connect their wires using Posi-Tap connectors to the leads on the mirror and re-install the mirrors. Below are a couple of pictures showing the mirrors in the off and on position.

Here are a couple of links to their web site to check out the s-mod program and pricing.

Nice job . I got the stick on arrows and I'm somewhat concerned about cleaning around them as well as to how they will hold-up .

Very cool, a bit pricey, but cool!! I was just thinking about how I could do my mirrors like that a couple of weeks ago and wondering why BRP doesn't make that a standard feature on the RTs.

Murphy's law in play again. I attempted to install the turn arrows and ran into all sorts poblems. And as of yet the work is not complete. True the price IS a bit up there. but sometimes better to pay the pipper.Ron

I found a few automotive forums where folks have done this themselves - apparently the LED lights will shine thru the backside of the mirror. I'll have to see if my dealer has a mirror glass in stock and test this theory before attempting to do my own.

DIFFERENT SOLUTION

See my solution in the mirror arrow thread, maybe this is your answer ??????.......only spent $ 7.00.......mike

I am assuming that Redspy sent his whole mirror assembly away not just the glass as the Muthco web site alludes to that.

Sent whole Mirror to Muth. They installed the signal mirrors and power leads (which were around 36" long) that were out the same hole as original power cable. I cut the leads and used Posi-Taps to connect to factory power cable and installed mirrors. They did not return the orginal mirrors as I assume they may have broke when removed or they saved them as templates for the next spyder. You can watch their video of the process in the s-mod link.
