• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OEM rear tire

500 miles and I'd had enough. The Kendas do make a nice garden planter for potatoes though ! ;)

Five assorted Spyders. Have always replaced with OEM's. I average 13,000 to 15,000 on all but the 2014 OEM which was a softer rubber compound. I only got 8,900 on that one.

You did not ask, but fronts are 20,000 + in all cases except for when the alignment was off on the 2011. Got 12,000 on those.

Well....

Got 19,000 on the first 16,000 on the second...got more agressive. This is on an RS manual the RT's and the auto's get less. Got 33,000 on the fronts still on the second set.

4800 fairly high speed & hot miles on my OEM rear tire, which I believe was one of the soft compound offerings but never provided much traction or good handling!! So when I replaced it, I went for a 'real' tire instead of the Kenda crap, & that 'real tire' I've just swapped out after 30,000 of waaaay better traction, ride, & handling with greater loads aboard & mainly hotter ambient & road surface temps too!!

Didn't do too much better on the fronts tho, they were cactus by 5200 or thereabouts, but after replacing them then, now 30,000 later the A/mkt replacements still look less than half worn!! :2thumbs:

12,000 first Tire, 10,000 second, 7,0000 third (soft Tire compond). 14,000 on kumo, now.running General Altimax. Bruce

I barely got 8k on my first one on the RT. At that point, I was on vacation in the NC/Tenn. Mountains and drifting around nearly every turn. I will add that I was riding a little agressively.

4,000 on mine, but I did get one of the soft batch. However, on my previous Spyder I didn't have one of those and still only got about 6,000 on that one. :sour:

Right now I have 10500 miles and is pretty much toast in the middle of the tire. For sure going to a car tire in the near future. MY fronts still are looking good. Probably will get another 10,000 out of the OEM fronts and then be going to car tire up front also.

I have 9,400 on the new, harder compound tire with still a good bit of mileage left. I'll probably push this one as far as I safely can locally so I have as fresh a new tire as possible for the long trip to Red Rocks.
