• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

And the count down begins. On Oct 17th, Jennifer (Kjen) and I will leave Jacumba, CA for a trip that will take us to Louisiana, Illinois and back in 12 days. I am guessing it will be over 4000 miles of travel. What will make it hectic will be a 3 day stay in Louisiana, and a 3 day stay in Illinois. That cuts our travel time to 6 days, requiring us to average 700+ miles a day riding distance. Traveling on the interstate system enables us to ride 750 in about 13 hours, which we have done. Hopefully we can do it consistently. We will have to...no choice. We are really looking forward to the challenge. Kjen will be posting on this thread as time permits and do her usual good job in being truthful and descriptive as she did on our journey in 2009. We will also post a few pics along the way. We will be traveling I-10 to LA, then I-55 to Decatur, IL. Our return route will depend on the weather. Even as I write this I am just a bit nervous with anticipation.

Have a safe and enjoyable journey. It sounds like you have some long days ahead. We will wish you well and look forward to information and pictures as the trip progresses.

Ten wake-ups before we roll. We are REALLY looking forward to this trip. We like riding hard, and this one WILL be HARD!

Again: Have a safe and enjoyable journey! We'll be watching for the "Reports From The Saddle" along the way...

ENJOY!
I wish you a GREAT and safe trip. I wanna see pictures.
We will have to have lunch or a ryde when you guys get back to town!

I hope you have a wonderful trip. After all of those 750 mile days I think you will need a vacation when you get back.

Have a safe and fun trip. I just did 3300 miles in 11 days (no interstates), but that doesn't compare to your 700+ per day.
