• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thank you for taking the time to share this cartoon.

Don't know which forum you are talking about as I have been asking questions for over 4 years and have never been called stupid, or any of the names you mentioned. Even when my questions have been repeats of questions no one has taken me to task for asking the same question as someone else. So if you really feel that way why are you still on this site? Or are you really one of the names you claim they call you?

CLARIFICATION ON ---POSTING NUMBERS

From all the times I have seen Bob's likes and thanks and Mike's likes and thanks I thought this was just a way to help them up their post numbers. Personally, I take the time to type "Thank You" when someone helps me. I just hope that spring comes soon and there is something more to discuss than clicking like or clicking thanks. Good God we need some testosterone in here. Please accept my apologies for quoting the whole post but it had so much good advice it had to be repeated.
Ben, by clicking the " thanks " or " like " icon it has nothing to do with the number of Posts you are credited with...........I'm not into that anyway.....I'm into color and adding emoji's :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:....Mike :agree::bbq:

You DO seem to have mastered the emoji thing Mike.....this little guy gets attached to most of your posts. I bet his belly hurts by now....I like the dancin' sausage, or pepper, or whatever this dude is, myself..

And here is the issue - I never mentioned stupid or said I was called any names, yet you are taking me to task for posting. Please read my response again. I love the information provided here but choose to search for the answers I need. I've only had my Spyder for a couple of years and learn something new every day from this forum.

You inferred you were called an idiot. I read it a couple times. Or, when you used the word idiot, you weren't referring to yourself?

Some like me

I'm willing to bet that a few simply join to post questions, get the replies, and never plan to respond with the resolutions. Just like any other forum I suppose. Some people don't check the forums every day like a lot of us do either. All ya can do is offer up the advice and hope to be acknowledged in some way, but certainly don't EXPECT to be. It's all good. Just respond knowing that you helped someone out, somehow. It's a new day now where many of the good things we do from day to day go un-acknowledged.
"Respect" is now a word that many don't understand, can't spell, or just have none of. Yet they expect it in return. It's all good:popcorn:
All, I read the forum every day...but not being as knowledgeable as you Ladies and gentlemen maybe we just read and learn before we comment or ask questions before we research this site. I have learned so much from y'all that my or others just don't need to take up space. IMHO

Clicking on the thank button is a good practice if you have been helped by a post. I don't look for that but obviously some do. What I am looking for a post that outlines in detail if you have it. Sometimes it's a dealer fix and they may not have explained the fix very well. That is understandable. But when you know what was done and can explain it I would like to know if our guesses are right or even close. That will help us who do answer questions, give better answers to those who follow you with the same or similar questions.

THE DIFFERENCE AS I SEE IT

Billy, I suggest using the " THANK " button for the OP to indicate that they have READ an Answer to His/Her... Thread/Post....Then if They have liked it They can hit the " Like " button .....This way the people who have taken the time to consider the problem and type an answer at least know the OP bothered to read it........Otherwise we sometimes don't know if the OP ever returned............Mike :bbq:
