• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This is starting to happen more often now.... starting the spyder either hot or cold does not matter, shifting into gear, engine stalls out like the clutch is not engaged. The bike tries to lurch forward and just stalls out as soon as you hit the shift button . It will restart and then be ok but it will do it again later. So far it has done it about 3 times a day for the last few days. No codes coming up. Anybody seen this??

i have had this happen 2 times in the last week. 1st time was after 200 miles and a stop for gas. the next time was after only running about 10 minutes. Will always restart after so not sure.

Ditto for me. Happens occasionally but always starts in 1st if I keep my foot on the brake - no codes - Tech has no answer

Just curious

I have never seen this on my RTS se6. Is yours an sm6 or se6? Do you always start with foot on brake?

:agree::agree::agree:....My 14 RT just turned 5100 miles and this started happening just recently also................ANNNNNNNND the first wear bars on the rear tire are now beginning to show wear :gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah:......Mikeguyver

Mine'll do it every once in a while, just to get my attention...
Foot on the brake, and thumb the starter again, and all is good!

I've had it happen a few times but its always caused by my
trying to put it in gear quickly after starting before its had time to idle down.

Give it a few seconds and see if that helps.

Mine is an se6, and I was thinking that maybe the oil pressure has something to do with it, maybe a little slow to release the clutch? Well I feel better that I'm not alone with this issue.

what happens with mine is if i put it in neutral i sometimes find it shifts back to first gear. it happened over the weekend when i was up state.

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

:yikes:.......That's your problem John..............stay DOWN STATE ...:gaah:    :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:....Mikeguyver :agree:

Mine has not done it for a while. I am taking a little longer to shift and that seems to help. I also found that to get a softer shift into reverse you can go to first, then straight to reverse with no bump. So smooth you actually have to look to see if it's shifted. Neutral......not so much.

Hmmm my 2013 doesn't do that the tranny works just fine and never stalls....just sayin':roflblack: Sorry Bob just had to say it :dontknow:

Mine just did it twice today once going into 1st & once going into reverse. My engine was up to normal operating tempature each time. I have 1,950 miles on the motor now and this has never happened before.:dontknow:

Make sure you don't rush it. Even when already warmed up, the engine cranks up a hundred or two above idle. It takes a couple seconds or so for it to idle down. It will often stall when above the idle and occurs when we get in a big hurry. :D

Same here but only when it's cold. Only 650 miles so I am at the learning curve. Yep that's right, got tired of the heat and gas fumes last week and traded the 2013 red viper in.

With 1,075 miles no problems other than that clunk into R after a start -- warm or cold, doesn't matter. Thanks for the tip on shift to 1 first and then to R. Will try first thing tomorrow when I head to dealer to get Comfort Seat with defective stitching replaced.
