• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

not zakley spydie specific but..

Interesting - Transmission is CVT AUTOMATIC - NO REVERSE so does that mean there is no floor so you can Fred Flistone it to back it out? :yikes:

Things like that have their place. You see a lot of them around Daytona Beach for example as rentals for people to play around in. Key West is big on rental scooters also and you'll see these things down there as well.

Kind of cute, but I'm betting it's Chinese made. Has the same cheesy engine/tranny to rear tire combo that they like to do.

I also question how road legal these would be - but wow - a whopping 45mph!:D

AND 1/3 the price of a Spyder AND probably less problematic AND probably the same fun factor for some. European made or pobably designed by them and like 99.9% of everything here made in China/Taiwan/Malaysia/Indonesia/ etc etc. Only if we could keep up with them in terms of quality and value for money, probably better machine than Spyder may be next.:helpsmilie:

We have one of these.

Patti and I have had a red one for 3 years now and they are a blast to drive around town!

Our's has a GY6 150cc motor that I have clutched and "breathed on" so now it will do a real 58 mph on the GPS with me and Patti in it. :ohyea:

However I would not want to go much faster than that, as there is no VSS, ABS and it has real fast steering at those speeds for sure. Let's just say the "pucker factor" at 58 mph is pretty high indeed. LOL :yikes:

However, it beats a golf cart for running around camp grounds or parks, as it will bury any one of those 15 mph golf carts any day. Also, unlike a golf cart it is road legal everywhere with real motorcycle insurance being available at a very low cost, which is not something you can get on a golf cart.

After being the spouse of the owner of a Chinese made scooter, I certainly wouldn't guarantee them to less problematic than a Spyder. We traded the thing in on her Spyder. In probably only a few thousand miles, that thing had fits of not starting which required a sparkplug change (two different times) to get working right. No big deal except the sparkplug was almost impossible to get to and darn near impossible to buy a replacement for. Certainly no place local (auto parts stores and the average bike shop) carried that plug or a suitable replacement for it. :chill: I was glad to see it go though she was fond of it for the most part.
