• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Going tomorrow to sign the paperwork for a 2012 RTS SE5

I wanted the Magnesium, but no new ones to be found. The dealership got two new ones, Blue and a Mag in from the west coast and I snagged one...
I was a bit too slow to get the magnesium, but I got the Blue. I am sure it will grow on me...for the price compared to the 2013 with the black wheels...
I just thought the blue was a bit flashy compared to the mag.

What do you guys think?

:congrats: on the Spyder. I know what you mean about the color, as I would have rather had the blue. Yet the deal on the Viper Red was too good to turn down. Now I do like the Red, but don't want to change my name to Red Star.

I started out want 2012 RT limited lava bronze and the more i looked I was paying $1300 for the paint cause I won't be using the gps or hard bags and the dealer had red, blue and the MAG and I'm in LOVE:yes: with the mag easy to keep clean ( the bronze woulda got dirty going home from the wash} blue woulda been me second.

Blue RT

Blue is not all that bad of a color... Thinking color wise, a blue is more visible than the Magnesium / Black one thinking safety on the road.

I got lucky when I found my Regifted 2011 RS~S. The second choice for me was a orange (which looks more gold)

I think it will grow on you in a short time.

Enjoy the rydyng

If you would have asked me two months ago if I would ever own a yellow Spyder I would have told you no way. It has grown on me as I'm sure the blue will grow on you.

Congrats..!! blue..

color was never my main concern. Once I saw the roadster I just wanted "it" you will love it anyway..enjoy..!!:ohyea:

Too funny

I started out wanting the Blue and did not want to go without the GPS, hard bags, ended up with the Lava Bronze. Now I love the color, and all the extra's. Just funny how once you have what ever color you ended up with, it is now yours, and you love it.:yes:

I like both colors but, the blue is more visible on the road. Of the two, I would have taken the blue if only for that reason. As it turned out, I paid the extra money just to get the white RT Limited. To me it is the most visible of the 2012 colors. Visibility is everything when you are on the road.

There's nothing at all wrong with BLUE... It's the miles and smiles that it creates that make it all worhtwhile anyway!

:congrats: on your new ride!:ohyea::yes:

I knew Bob was going to comment, and that there would be others who would show their blue :ani29:'s.

That being said, a lot of times color is relative. You will find that the color you purchase, even if it was not your first choice, will grow on you. I did luck out with my recent car purchase and got exactly my color of preference (this time).

My first :spyder2: was the half moon silver (a little lighter than the current magnesium). You had to pay a premium price for that color--so that is what they were making available early on. Other choices were yellow or red. I told my dealer I would take whatever came in first. We both ended up with silver. He painted his black with custom flames, and I left mine silver.

Last summer when I purchased the new 2011, I was hoping for the blue, but the dealer only had the magnesium. We are very happy with that one now also.
