• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I haven't, but when all this first came up here on spyderlovers, I sent an email to my dealer with the post. It wasn't long after that I got a call from my dealer telling me that they had the parts and to come on down. I think it was Friday of last week when I got the call from them. If I were you, I'd simply give my dealer a call.

Hope this helps.

You should call your dealer. I bought my bike on August 23 haven't had it for three weeks yet and I got my recall letter in the mail three days ago.

Seems to me..!!

BRP may be zip code illiterate..:roflblack: I seem to remember the gas cap fiasco as far as reaching folks. They may send them out as they send the part to the dealers so if you call they have the parts...:dontknow:

I received mine!

Took mine in today to get the recall fixed. Turns out they had to replace the master cylinder (melted), the vapor canister (melted) and the purge valve. They didn't have any of the parts in stock so they took them off a new unit. They said they've repaired about 15 on the recall but mine was the first one that showed melting. Service manager was going to order an extra set... just in case another melted one comes in.

I only have 6800 miles on it. I think the purge valve started going out a few days ago. It was hard to start and kept stalling on me.

I'm as good as new, now.

Could it be that it wasn't deemed necessary, since they're already so well-aware of your bike's difficulties, and what was being done to fix it? :dontknow:

Recall Letter

Bob may be on to something. BRP is well aware of your heat problems and figured they didn't need to send the letter. I received my letter about a week ago and have an appointment next Wednesday.

I agree...but I'll bet the ones who generate the letters are not the ones who know me on a personal level....just saying

Then how would you explain their reasoning for sending me a letter? They wanted to pour salt in a wound?
