Not okay 7jurock

magic machine

Hi,

Just want to warn you for 7jurock.
When I made my order they were very friendly and really great.

They make a screen for me.
With the sending something got wrong.
I didn't received the screen.

They were really supporting... en really looked for a good solution.
When I didn't expected it any more, the screen was delivered..... The postman couldn't give me a explanation, but finally I got it.

It looks GREAT, it is really well made. A great screen.

But it dont fit.
One of the holes is not in the right position. I can't fit it.

Also: if I fit it without tightning all the screws (so in the right position but with only three screws a little bit tight) , I discovered that I can't steer my handlebar (steer) in the max position.
I drive a F3 Daytona (with the daytona special handle bar that comes with this model) and you can not make the maximum steering to the left or to the right.
With normal driving NO PROBLEM, but is you want to park or make a u-turn it is not good and your hand will hit the screen.

I send photos to 7jurock, mailed them, called them, but they DONT REACT!!!
The last contact was 16 of december.

I am really disappointed, because the only thing I can do to use the screen is to make one of the pre-drilled holes bigger.
That just dont feel right with a new screen todo without a "go - try it" from the guys who made it.

Nice product
nice company as long as there a no problems.

For me.... NEVER AGAIN
Ending up with a screen that i can't use, and lost a lot of money.

Bummer.....

If there is no way to return it or get a response to the problem....Widen all the mounting holes so you can center it before tightening it down and make a cut-out adjustment for the full turn. I got a MSR with the flip and the full turn only work if I remove my hand from that side so I live with it...Guess you can keep trying to reach them for a solution or if possible reverse the payment and then you should get a response or a free windshield to mess with...:dontknow:

Sorry you have a problem. That sucks! But, thanks for the heads up. A company to stay away from. Tom :spyder:

The OP's problem does sound unique. The 7JURock shields are very wide and it does not surprise me the drag bars on a Daytona hit on full lock. I'm a little surprised at his other problems as there are several of us here that have 7JURock shields and found their fit, finish and customer service second to none.

I hope he can sort out the issues.

Today they send me an email.
i dont know if they react because of this thread or that it is a coincidence

But they asked me for Some more time to find a solution.

to be continued

regards Rob

Hey Rob, did 7jurock send the windscreen direct to you in the Netherlands/Amsterdam, or was there a dealer involved? How did you sort the delivery issues? Was that direct contact with the company in the USA?

I ordered directly with them.
When my track and trace tolled me it was delivered there was nothing...
I emaild 7jurock and they tolled me that they would first try to find the "lost" screen and if they couldn't find it, make a new one.

While they were searching and I was waiting, the post company delivered the screen.....

not sure the fitment problem belongs to the manufacturer
on their website it specifically states "F3 and F3S". Does not reference the Daytona model.
Perhaps a pre-purchase call asking whether it would fit the Daytona model would have been in order?

I agree with you about the fitment problem, I do feel the frustration the guy is going through. Unless I missed something he does not mention what mounts he is using to mount the shield. He has to use the BRP mounts to mount the shield as per 7jurock states, I could not see in the posts that he is using the BRP mount. You can't buy the BRP mounts by themselves. Maybe he can state what mounts he is using?

So that being said if he is not using BRP mounts that windshield will not work. As far as the handlebar goes I can't answer that but that would frustrate me as well.
I bought a 27 dark smoke 7jurock windshield for my F3 S and it fits like a glove but I am using the BRP mounts. I just mounted it 2 weeks ago, can't test it out until spring.

I know when I bought mine I phoned them to confirm all the details on fitment and I asked them to send me pictures of the dark smoke windshield.
As far as service goes they were excellent with me and addressed all my questions, the only concern I had was when I picked up my windshield the windshield was protruding out of the box. There was no damage but I did send an email to them telling them they have to improve the packaging. They did not reply back to me either. the package was clearly marked on the outside glass breakable but shipping companies don't care and probably toss it around more, LOL

Name of the company would be helpful. There is no user by that name here.

7Jurock is a well known manufacturer, gnorthern, like F4, Madstad etc, so he has indeed given us the name of the company.:opps:

I have had 2 7Jurock screens on previous bikes and have found them to be excellent in quality and service. It will be interesting to see the underlying cause of this issue, be it poor manufacturing, different mounting for Daytona etc etc.

that would be !

What is this screen?

Show us a picture of it as I have no idea what you are talking about..

th
windshield ( aka : windscreen )

And the story continues (Again sorry for my bad English).

STILL NO REACTION FROM 7jurock.
After my first post on this forum I got a reaction from 7jurock with "sorry" and "we will come back to you real soon".

After that NO REACTION at all.
I send them mails, and called them twice.

It is just not good at all !!!!

Btw: I am using original BRP mounting. Bought the original BRP windscreen but it was to short for me. So I ordered the 7jurock shield.
Again: it is really well made. Good quality, really nice made, but one of the holes is not correctly drilled. So I can't fit it !

Really pissed now.

Most of all because they just DONT REACT

Regards Rob

I Just found out that I didn't close this threat.

So:
After waiting for A VERY LONG time I recieved a reaction and a "sorry" from 7jurock.
After a couple of months they returned the money.

The windshield didn't fit (the screw holes where not right) and after "forcing" the shield and changing the holes it did fit BUT it wasn't possible to turn my sterring bar (F3 Daytona) all the way.

Have to be honest.... Now it is on the bike it is really great to protect me from the wind on the highway. 100 mph isn't any problem without a helmet or glasses.
But driving in the city is not okay because of the steering problem.

So I bought a new windscreen.

It took them a lot of time, but finally the solved the problem and paid back my money.

So no hard feelings.

regards Rob

As a vendor on Spyder Lovers, I, like the great majority of venders live or die by giving good, and prompt customer service. Nothing hurts business more than unhappy customers. Glad you got it resolved, even though it took a long time.
Ride in comfort,
John

What did you buy? I am now wondering if the Route 129 I am planning on buying, if I get well enough to do longer rydes, will clear my drag bars on my F3-S!! :banghead:
