There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I'm currently on a Victory Cross Country and would like to here from anyone that switched from a Victory to a Spyder. I'm particularly interested in the F3 comparison. I get that it's apple and oranges, but I'd kind of like to know: like vs dislikes. For instance; the heat you guys keep referring to, is it as hot as the 106 engine, or something different? How's the comfort of the ride? Are you glad you made the switch, or would you go back?

F3 heat

I have heard of very few heat complaints from F3 owners. Heavyweight bikes are generally WAY hotter than any spyder, at least mine were. Many spyder owners have not " been there ", to know the difference. Until recently, all the radiator/ fan output was directed at the right foot area. There are mods and accessories to deal with this. Spyders generally ride really good.
This is coming from a gs owner. Just my humble opinion.

I came from a Victory Vision to the Spyder RT. My Vision had the same 106 V Twin as the CC. The heat from that 106 is pretty intense, especially here in Arizona in the summer. My RT is much cooler!

IMO the Victorys are the best thing on two wheels, and if I had a desire to go back, I would definately ride a Victory again. But the Spyder is the best thing on three wheels, and you can't go wrong, no matter which model you choose. My RT is very comfortable and fun to ride. I do not regret my choice for one minute!

Had a Vegas 8 ball victory and really love it but after my knee replacement went with the spyder and have never look back .

Once you realize you do not have to lean ,just sit back and enjoy .For the heat situation ,there are ways to get around that .:2thumbs:

Welcome..!!

To this most informative site...hope you get all the answers your looking for...and you will and then some. Can't help a great deal having come from a sportwing but the heat issue is really a non issue on the F3 . Not all spyders are built alike.....:2thumbs: test ryde one and you will see...

I like to say :welcome:when a new poster shows up.

A couple Victory owners seem to have answered your question about the heat.

A test drive on a :ani29: might be a good way to check out how you feel about it.

Went for a ride today on an F3.
Let me say : Man that thing is peppy! I wasn't expecting that.
I should have taken my full face helmet, but would have really liked to ride one with a tall w/shield.
I am a little concerned about how squirrelly the steering feels.I guess that's something you'll eventually get use to.
I'm also wondering how most 2 wheelers react when you pull up at an event with a spyder.
Just some random thoughtsI had.

Squirrely steering seems to be result of overcontrolling. A to tight grip on the handlebars or more input than required will make the :ani29: seem like it has a mind of its own. We usually recommend thinking that there are eggs between your hands and the grips--don't break the eggs.

Hi Pam!
While I like the Victory bikes; my favorite bike from Polaris is still the Indian... The styling is "Off the Charts" gorgeous! :D

And Polaris doesn't build a bad convertible either! :roflblack:

Yup, the Indians are nice too! :agree:

I tested out a Victory back when they were using the V92C engine... it was WAY strong, and could pull top gear from 25 mph...
Stump-pulling torque, is a wonderful thing! :D

Decide how you plan on using it, and what is comfortable for you. The F3 is the cruiser; you can add bags and windshield and make it into a touring bike, or, buy the RT, or, the rs or st. I like the 1330 engine, so F3 or RT. I wish they would fit the RSS with a 1330......make mine a 6 speed, in white. I'll take it from there! Good luck on your choice! Joe

Some places I get plenty of question, and a lot of friendly looks, others I get :yikes:. I didn't buy my F3 to please anyone BUT me!! And I LUV it!!:doorag: I did get the BR windshield, as it was plenty cold in Feb, when I took delivery of mine. Been having a blast every since!!:yes::yes: BTW, the F3 is my 2nd Spyder, 1st was a '11 RT A&C
