• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Northeast Storm

Ahh... the NEW technology! Those look like a lot of fun!
My hatchet fights were with the late-eightes Yammies...
When they brought out the Phazer II; they gained too much weight to be a serious contender anymore.

Got about 10" of snow here, easy plow out. Took care of some neighbors, put a little more wood on the fire. Kids are out sledding and we will be having the East Pharsalia 500 in the back yard this afternoon. I actually wish there was more snow, but what's new. Old man winter needs to :cus: or get of the pot!!!

Wow! That sure is pretty...
It's too bad that it's got to come with so much work attached to it! :gaah:
Are you guys getting back to normal yet, or are there further issues that need addressing beyond mere snow removal?

Got about 3 feet in southern CT, with drifts of 4 to 5 feet. This sucks. Havent had a plow down my road since Friday night. Got my truck stuck 4 times plowing my driveway out. Been shoveling for 2 days. This sucks. At least we didn't lose power, it was in the single digits last night.

My driveway this morning-

Wow!!! You guys really got dumped with snow! I feel for you having to move it all. It's too bad you don't have snowmobiles to play with in all that snow. Then it would be a blast. We only received about 8 to 10 inches of snow out of that storm up in my area of Vermont.

It'll probably be a few days before things are back to normal. Had to go out this morning to pick up a replacement hydraulic line for my plow, the roads are still a mess. A pay loader made a single pass down my street at about 10:00 last night, but many roads remain unplowed. To make matters worse, it's raining hard right now, and is supposed to continue all day. Snow removal will get more difficult by the hour, and folks with flat roofs better start thinking about clearing them.

HDXBONES. If I remember correctly you spent some time close to Tug Hill. Does that snow bring back memories?

Good luck getting thru the next few days until things get back to normal for you guys.

I know what you mean about a lot younger. Three of these storms back here so far and I'm ready to move south!

Riding would be a great change of pace right now.

Is the TroopRide on for this year?

Hi Bob, I did live in Pulaski, on Lake Ontario for a few years. This snowfall was very similar to the storms that occur up there. The big difference though, is that they're prepared for it. They have the equipment, and the residents know how to handle it, and what to expect. In contrast, it's mostly confusion, panic, and chaos down here.

I was a lot younger when I lived up there too, shoveling didn't seem so tiring.......:roflblack:

I've had enough for this year, I'm ready to go riding......:doorag:

Stormtrooper, are you member of the 501st?
No when I first got the :spyder2: people said I looked like a stormtrooper when I rode. I guess with a white :spyder2: and a white full face helmet the name stuck and thats how I got my spyderlover member name.
