There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The Brit is back!

Helen made it too, although this was our toughest day. Started in Salt Lake this morning with a light drizzle that became a downpour near Bryce Canyon and ended up with 100' temps in Phoenix, 653 miles later. And yes, it was a dry heat

In all, we traveled 8,622 miles in the 25 days we were on the road, an average of 345 miles/day. Good to be home, but we have great memories of locations, sights and particularly people. I will echo Anne's sentiments regarding the group and our gracious hosts, Dwayne and Linda, none better. Many thanks to Karyl for all the effort she put into making this a perfect ryde. When is the next one!!!!!!!

George, I'm glad you guys made it home. I'm thinking that the next epic adventure should be the Owner's Event in Valcourt, Quebec in 2017. If we head north we can ride across Canada hit the event and maybe go further east for the heck of it.

Old Quebec City and Nova Scotia (for sure the east end--Cape Breton) should be on the itinerary.:yes:

I could meet you in Sask or Manitoba.

Or...

BRP owners event in the redwoods! Like next month! Maybe not epic, but, a great rally! I believe all our NTA crew should come! We will be there!
glad you made it home, George and Helen! Joe

Yes, Nova Scotia and the Cape Breton area -- the famous Cabot Trail. Be sure to do it counterclockwise so you're in the outside lane -- best views of the coastline, cliffs and beaches.

Problem is, most people end their trips there. Don't do that. Continue on to Newfoundland. Been there twice on the Gold Wing and it is fantastic. Five-hour ferry from the eastern end of Nova Scotia (Sydney/North Sydney to Port Aux Basques) to get there but it is well worth it. Just outstanding. Now we need to get back there again on the RT.

Next month? Too soon! From Kansas that would be semi-epic and Alaska was enough epic for me for this year.

Couple days there, 4 day rally, couple days home! Piece of cake!

Joe,

It would be fun, but some of us no longer have any vacation left:mad:

Anyways you and Ann will be working the whole time so we would not see much of you two.

Hopefully next year we can get together!

Anne,

The owner's event would be a great idea, but 2017? Who knows what can happen between now and then. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to hop onto my adventure bike and spend a few days in Idaho, Washington, Oregon and California.

Chip seal is for amateurs. We had 50 kilometers of unpaved road which was rutted and quite dusty when we were headed northbound and wet and slick on our return.

Where are you at???

Hi Jim,

We are at the Days Inn in Hinton,AB.

It was a short day of riding as yesterday we had 15 hours in the saddle. Yesterday we had road construction, rain, road construction, more rain, road construction, heavy rain with hydro-planning,
road construction.
Did I mention we ran into road construction?
We left Muncho Lake,BC at 7am and arrived in Grande Prairie,AB at 10:30pm.

Today's short ride allowed us to wash clothes and the Spyder. I think I washed 5# of dirt off the bike and cost $34 at the do it yourself car wash. Not as clean as I like it, but at least it looks like a Spider now.

Tomorrow we stay in Cranford/Banff. Another short ride that will allow us to explore the area.

Hi Les,

Thanks for your update on location! Glad all went well on the trip - other than road construction! :gaah: It's EVERYWHERE! I know the Spyders took on a lot of dirt on the trip based on some of the pics I had seen...

Looks like all the Spyders performed well on the trip - that's great! I think you have me beat on mileage now!!!! I have nearly 20,000 miles on our 2014 RT -- you probably added another 8000 - 9000 miles on your trip by time you get back!!

See you when you get back in the area.... :D

You must be following me! I was at the Quality Inn in Hinton last night. Tonight I'm at Coast Hotel in Canmore, AB.

I felt like crap when I got up this morning - like I needed to go back to bed for a day. But I pushed on, and with the help of highly caffeinated beverages, I'm good, for now. I just hope I'll get a good night sleep tonight. I hope Robin will post some of here great Jasper and Banff NP pics here like she did on FB. I didn't even feel like taking much. Did I mention I felt like crap?

Stocked up on cold medicine and will get back to the USA tomorrow!

Patty,

Sorry to hear your not feeling well. I hope it is short lived and your back to full health soon. It does sound like we are following you;)
