Anyone have written or video instructions or suggestions to change fuel filter for RS 2012 without utilizing BUDS? Shop manual refers to utilizing BUDS to replace fuel filter.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

????? I don't know where in the procedure you figured BUDS was involved. You can relieve fuel system pressure by disconnecting the fuel pump wiring and then cranking the engine (it should not start but WOT will prevent starting to be safe). This should be described in the manual under Fuel Pump Pressure Test (Static). Then remove the old filter, hook up and tighten the clamps on the new one, hook the fuel pump back up, and crank the engine to start. Check for leaks and you are back on the road as soon as you put the body panels back on.

During fuel filter installation, BUDS is referred to in shop manual page 364, "Re-enable the fuel pump in BUDS system as described in the FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE TEST (STATIC) procedure in this section."
NOTE: I'm using the 2008-2011 shop manual for GS/RS. When I bought this manual, I was told BRP did not do a 2012 manual and just added 2012 updates to the 2008-2011 manual.

You could you use buds to fill your filter and check for leaks, buds would pressurize your fuel system.

Your manual apparently is a different version than mine, which calls for disabling the fuel pump the hard way. It would be much easier with BUDS, but can be done by disconnecting the wire. You have to remove more body panels, however.

Open the frunk, remove one cover, connect BUDS, duh!
