• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No Reverse

I have a 2015 STL with E transmission with only 950 miles on it. It's been sitting in my garage for about six weeks and when I started it today, it won't go into reverse. I let it warm up to normal operating temp. but still no luck. No error codes. Any ideas????

Just now happened so haven't asked the dealer. It goes into first fine, it does take two or three tries to go into N but has always been that way. Just won't go into reverse.

Did you push down on the "R" button before tapping the paddle shifter? It has happened before.

Best of luck to ya. Keep us informed. With only 950miles everything should be covered by warranty

Random thought.... Check to see if the oil level is up to par.

On my ST-S, I recall rough shifts when oil level was low. Maybe... Just maybe... your difficulty in gear change has to do with oil level.

Check the relays to be sure they are all seated properly.
UPDATE,
Started it up to go for a ride today and still no reverse. Rode for about 90 miles, stopped for gas and a cup of coffee. When I started the bundle of Tupperware and electronics, I had reverse again.

I sure liked those days before computers and cell phones. I guess things could be worse.

Thanks to all

The bike is working perfect. It was your fault for not using it for 6 weeks. It was just letting you know it likes to get out of the dark garage and roar down the road.

You know, I think that you are absolutely correct. I hate the cold and for me, anything under 50 degrees is cold so I rode into civilization today and bought a bunch of cold weather riding gear. Now it will never sit for more than a week.

wish I were in Arizona again.

Reverse issue

That happens to my F3's. then while in neutral I rev the engine to 3500--let it idle back down & then it shifts into reverse.
Or make believe it's a big Harley & only park where you can drive straight out of coast it backwards on a parking slope:opps:... The engine revving is a suggestion in the owners manual..

My RS had some shifting issues when the temp was cold and found that if the handle bars were turned to far in either direction it wouldn't go into reverse
