Next week I'll go to my local Career Resource Center, and ask them to help me( I'll take my cover letter, resume, Letter of Recommendation)

Good choice. The last time I was in your position I was offered assistance in writing my resume. (I didn't think I needed help but I was wrong) I found that resumes are constantly changing. Companies use computer programs that search for key words and phrases in resumes. For example; I took the lead in... I was responsible for....I managed the effort of others.... etc. The people that work in career guidance do this every day, the rest of us only need a resume a few times in our lifetime. By all means, use all the resources available. Continued Good Luck!

Hi, I had my cover letter and resume done by a family member( she owns her own business). I going to my local Career Resource Center because can help me find some jobs, that would match my qualifications/ job skills/ etc.

Deanna, very knowledgeable people here on the forum are trying to give you sound advice. Please open your mind to the possibility they may know more than the folks who are closest to you. A job search in this market is challenging and you could benefit in your search by listening to some experts on the subject. nojoke

Here is an other job update:

I did apply for a job last week, and I got an email saying "At this time I was not the right fit". I responded back to the email and asked why???? I was not a fit for the job. I also asked questions.

What kind of way is that to treat someone? If it was me, I'd probably send them a snarky response asking when would be the right time to 'fit' into their precious organization!

But I'm not suggesting you do that!

At least she got a response. When I was doing some serious job searching years ago I was lucky to get any kind of acknowledgement for more than 1 out of every 10 applications.

Sometimes I don't even get an email, they just leave me wondering! I know I have a lot of completion out there, (people looking for work).

I am hanging in there.

I know I'll find a job.
