• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

FINALLY BACK ON THE ROAD AFTER 18 DAYS. JUST PICKED UP THE SPYDER FROM THE DEALER AFTER GETTING VSS, DBS FAULTS AND ENDING UP IN LIMP HOME MODE. IT TOOK 18 DAYS BUT THEY FINALLY FIXED THE PROBLEM. IT TOOK REPLACING THE VSS MODULE ALONG WITH SEVERAL TERMINALS AND SEAL-WIRE TO GET IT GOING AGAIN. THEY EXPLAINED THAT THE BRAKES, STABILITY CONTROL AND TRACTION CONTROL ALL GO THROUGH A CENTRAL MODULE AND IT WENT BAD DUE TO WATER GETTING IN THROUGH A CONNECTOR. GOOD THING IT'S UNDER WARRANTY THE TOTAL COST OF THE FIX WAS $1,869.10. JUST GLAD TO BE RIDING AGAIN.:2thumbs::yes:

Several Years ago I had a New Mustang convertible, less than 3000 miles, a check engine light came on. several times they keep it most of the day and it would come back on before I got home. They decided to keep it a while, gave me a Focus loaner, Keep it over a month. when I picked it up. light came on before I got home. They had a Ford engineer come in and they keep it another week. I was told they replaced every computer in the car and wiring to them. It was fixed this time. The final paperwork, said the bill was over $8000.00 the service manger said he doubted Ford would pay it all, and they had more labor in it than they charged for. The paperwork also said neither the Tech or engineer could explain what was wrong with the car, and why replacing electronics fixed it. My thought was what would happen after the car was out of Warranty. In Ga we have a lemon law, where they have 3 chances to fix it, then they have to replace it. They got around this by keeping it on the same ticket.
That was my last Ford.

I have also had bad luck with Ford cars and trucks but, in fairness to them, every Ford I had bought was a used vehicle. Ever since I've been able to afford new vehicles, I've only bought GM and CanAm Spyders. :D

FORD= FOUND ON ROAD DEAD or FIX OR REPAIR DAILY

Too bad I have TWO Ford Expeditions!!:yikes: Thank God my husband is a mechanic:bowdown:

I have had good luck with my F-150s. My F-100 has been Found On Road Dead, but it is a hotrod, and no longer has that stinking Holley carb BTW. One of the worst newer vehicles repair-wise was one of my wife's Grand Caravans. Tranny, electronis, body, you name it. My daughter blew up two engines in her Neon. Very worst I ever owned was a 78 GMC van. Dealer had it for months at a time. I finally threatened to slash the tires in his driveway, and spray paint "Lemon" on the side. He gave me a sizeable cash settlement and a 44 gallon gas tank, and told me never to darken his door again. Fixed it myself and put 180K on the old girl. They are all the same...luck of the draw.

Most of mine have been GM as Daddy was a GM retiree I got the employee discount when he was alive, which used to be a lot better before they started offering it to anyone. When I bought the Mustang I wanted a convertible and the Mustang was cheaper than the Camaro even with the discount.

Limp Home Mode

I had my brand new Spyder go into Limp Home Mode just a few miles from the dealership. Showed VSS Fault / Check DPS... Happened four times on my way back to the dealership. Long story short, after three hours of trying to fix it, I talked them into selling me another one. Now I have the Roadster Red instead of the silver one I originally ordered! Works for me :2thumbs:

And you left it to another to pick up the slack...............

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones - Elan Sleazebaggano attempts to sell Obi-Wan Kenobi a death stick. Obi-Wan replies with the suggestion, "You don't want to sell me death sticks. (I don't want to sell you death sticks) You want to go home and rethink your life (I want to go home and rethink my life)." Sleazebaggano leaves at that point in the film and is assumed to have followed up on this suggestion - a testament to the power of the mind trick.

That's a big reason we choose to go with the extended warranty, glad it worked out for you.
Ford has been great to us both at home and work. Multiple vehicles, different models, different years.

this happen to me yesterday while riding, bike screen said limp mode home, check DPS. it was riding very ****ty after that, so at a red light i turned it off and restarted it. bike has been fine ever since(aprox 65miles later), have an appt to bring it in on tuesday.
