• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No garage, no problem

Purchased all the materials to build my custom spyder mini garage. Waiting until my daughter comes to visit for the holidays so she can help. This will be a semi permanent structure since I plan to ryde as much this winter as possible. But I'm being realistic. We have a major winter storm coming in the next 24 hours and for a few days after that it's just going to be too cold for me to want to start the spyder. Single digits is not good on any machine.

The mini garage will be built onto a permanent gate that stands 6 ft high in the back yard. dimensions will be 16' x 8' by 6 ft tall. Just high enough for me to ryde the spyder in and out all winter right through the gate. Three 4 x 8 sheets of weather resistant plywood for the roof, thick plastic sheeting from the roof to the ground and secured at the bottom. The spyder is sitting on cement squares so it's off the grass.

I'll post pictures once it's built. :D

You can use flat roofing sheets vs. tiles and this will really keep the inside dry...far better and more secure than anything plastic...keep a slight angle for run-off, and you're good...are you going to seal the cement squares together? If so, use an interior basement sealer on top and you can prevent any moisture from coming up...this will just give you further temp/weather control inside the structure...

You can keep it simple and likely a lot more functional than you might think...anything to keep out moisture is a good way to go...

Thank you...I had to re-build a shed before I moved from my townhouse a few years ago....it was leaking and needed major repair..nothing worse than rotting wood, spiders (not our kind! ;) ) and other stuff going on.

We had to basically rebuild the whole darn thing...but when we were done, it was far better....and dry....ahhhhh...

Finally got it finished today. Still all hill-billy but extremely functional.

Had to put the daughter to work a bit.
