NMN Double Play Unit

Just received an NMN double play unit here in Oz along with the LED front indicators, from our local agent.
I have noticed there is a small slide switch on the side of the double play, which is not explained in the instructions.
Can Magic Man or anyone else tell me what it is for?

I thought the double-play was for the front of the bike? If so, I don't see how it should affect the brake lights?

Maybe its the same box as the triple play with different/less output wires, so the switch isn't used.

I had installed the double play, and I left the so-called switch alone, and all works well... However, I think it, the switch is disabled, unless it protrudes out of the red box.

It's not used in this set up.
