There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. These have been advertised on E bay in the UK

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NGK-Laser...E5-/360925700917?ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:3160

They state for a 2010 Spyder RT -
NGK Laser Iridium Spark Plug KR8AI Fits 2010 Can-Am SPYDER ROADSTER RT SE5

I contacted NGK UK to confirm this and they believe these are for models after 2013 Poss the new ACE Engine 1300
they are still recommending using :-

NGK Iridium Spark Plugs for All Spyders
DCPR9EIX (Colder Plug) - RS/GS/RSS
DCPR8EIX - (Hotter Plug) - All RT's (Can be used in all Spyders)

These are the ones via the Bajaron Website

Any one have any info on these new NGK Laser type Iridium Spark Plugs and which ones to use with which Spyder

Thanks

:agree: More information is needed.
I'd contact BajaRon...

NGK's Website site does not yet list them for usage in the Spyders... :dontknow:

Little checking..!!

Baja Ron has them listed which plug for which model. If you do the plugs you should really do the plug wires as well. One stop shop..!! :lecturef_smilie:

The difference between the Laser and the IX Iridium plugs;

Laser gives longer life.

Iridium IX gives better performance.

I have always wondered why BRP installs Long Life spark plugs with short life wires.

I carry the Iridium IX plugs because they still last a reasonable 30k-50k and with my wire set I think the additional performance is a plus. However, the Laser is also a good spark plug and will perform well with my wire set.

I installed your spark plugs and plug wires. They made a big difference. BRP puts the lower grade wires with long life plugs so when the wires go bad it may have to replace the plugs. That's IMHO.

All you have to do is check the on-line parts catalog. It shows the latest plugs recommended for the RT's. KR8-BI. Not AI. When BRP upgraded to Iridium plugs for the RT's, they went with KR8-BI for all RT's from 2010 thru 2013. Don't know where the e-bay folks came up with the AI's being recommended for RT's but I wouldn't try them.

The BRP plug for the new 1330 is listed as MR7BI-8.

i wonder if there is iridium plugs out for the ryker.

Frankly, I am surprised that the Ryker does not come with Iridium spark plugs. But, I am sure BRP worked hard to keep the price down and this is certainly 1 way to do it. It all adds up.

I will be looking into Iridium IX spark plugs for the Ryker. I should have a service kit available in the coming weeks. But I do not think there is much urgency yet. No one is going to have the miles for spark plug service on their Ryker any time soon (I don't think).

I will be changing mine out as soon as I get the Iridium plugs in just to see if I can tell any difference. Maybe fuel mileage will go up!
