• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

News on the Red Spyders

I called my dealer today here in Denver. He gave me some bad news. That rumor going around about the Red being delayed is true. He got a notice yesterday from Can-Am that the Reds were pushed back a month so we are looking at late Septemeber before the Red SM5s even arrive. The SE5s are another story as we all know. I ordered my bike early in June so I am get anxious like everyone. So I guess it was my lucky day. He told me he had a couple being assembled at the shop if I was willing to take a yellow one. I kicked it around a bit. Then I went over to the shop. The red is actually a darker burgundy look and I want fire engine red anyway...after all I am a State Farm agent!! There arent as many yellow ones out there and if I want to have my red I would have to paint it anyway. I know I have heard silver is better to paint over but not sure I will at this point. So I joined lamonster today and got a yellow one!! I pick it up on Wednesday. Sorry I caved in on the Red...I just done think its worth waiting two more months for when its not even the red I wanted in the first place.

I don't know where you got the idea that the BRP red is a dark burgundy red, it is not. It is not Fire Engine red either though. I saw them up at Valcourt when we went to the homecoming and they are a bright red and almost had an orange tone in my opinion. The photographs you see don't truly give you an idea of the read red color they are I discovered. I would have liked the BRP red even more had it been a dark burgundy red. Not that it matters as I had my silver custom painted Candy Apple Red anyway. :2thumbs:

Regardless of the red, I am happy for you getting your own spyder. Any spyder in any color is just cool.:doorag:

I asked the salesman who sold me my Spyder about the red ones when I was at the dealership yesterday, he told me the weren't supposed to get theirs in until October.

I did the same thing about 3 weeks ago. I love the yellow, and I also agree with you that the red was not bright enough. Safe riding! Beerman

Ordered mine back in April and when the dealer told me he coul get a yellow one for me real soon I swapped - had it on Memorial Day weekend:yes:

Just for clarity, your post makes it seem like you are picking up a SE5 on wed. It is a SM or SE your getting?

Could the SE's be coming this early? Please say it is so

I guess what I'm trying to say is - if silver and red were available then we would all want yellow instead . . . .:dontknow:

Same here when i placed my order iit was for red.

After waiting like 5 to 6 weeks i got a call from the dealer and they said we have a yellow here if you want it come and get it. They had no clue when they would get a red one but said maybe in early fall.

So now i have a red one.

Hi spyderBrett it was an SM5 that I got in yellow. My point is that the SE5s had been delayed but evidently there is an issue with the Red paint or something and all Red is delayed. I was told I could get a Red SM5 byt August but then informed that all Reds were delayed until September or October. I just turned over 600 miles on my Yellow Spydie today and he is doing well...no oil usage....yes the front end does whine a little....but so do my employees and they dont work as hard as my Spyder!!
