• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wife and I concerting a Spyder! After reading the comments on the problems with steering, fuel, electrical, drive train, parts and dealers we don't know? Is it just some or all of them? I know it takes some time to get the bugs worked out. Need some comments. :helpsmilie:I am not being critical! The form looks like a great place with the fellow ship and activities we would love to be apart of this:2thumbs: If youall can give some encouragement.
Thank you for letting me to comment.

Welcome to the site. If you read a lot of the information on the site you will see that most Spyder owners are happy campers and that they love their one, two, or three Spyders. We do get a lot of information about problems too. That is good, because it allows us to help others and exchange information. The ones with problems are usually more vocal than the ones that are happy with their Spyders. Have owmed 3 Spyders, and have racked up 50,000 great miles so far. No major problems with ours.

When you have a forum like this, you hear the most from someone who is having problems. The reason for that is they are putting out a problem for the group and hoping to see if there has been someone with the same issue and how it was resolved.

I also have seen that there are members who wanted to get off 2 wheels for various reasons and bought a Spyder and then wanted it to behave like a 2 wheeler.

To my knowledge, most of the machines have performed well and the owners are very happy. I know that I am one of them and the small group of Spyder owners I have met are also very happy with their ryde.

welcome
I am one of those that has had issues. 3 months in the shop for dps,
2 months in the shop for DSS, 2 weeks in the shop for a shifter switch which, due to timing ended up being in additional week for the new improved DPS 2.0

But if you have a :spyder2:, and are like me, you nearly become a crack addict over it. Once I am on my :spyder:, all is well with the world and I can't imagine not having it to ryde.:2thumbs:

If you bought a '08, you probably have a 70% chance of not having any problems, an '09 maybe 85% chance of no issues, a '10, a 95% chance.

Of course you know 68.95% of statistics are made up.
:joke:
If you do have issues, this is a great place to come for help. Also, if you are patient and persistant, BRP WILL take care of the problem. The key is patience, which (I'm sure some can attest) I sometimes am short of.
But I love my:spyder: and still get a thrill when I get to ryde.:doorag:

welcome 36K of trouble free driving and still going strong . Sure a few bumps in the road but I would do it all over again in a heart beat ! The :spyder2: is a blast .

Correction to Musicarcade posting: RE: 68.95 of statistics are made up. The number should be 69.354789538535554892

I had an anxiety attack or two when I first began my "Spydering",now I own two of them!!!The only problem I have is.....not enough time in the day for how much ryding I want to do!!!:2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:
This a great place for information and new friendships! welcome

I am also a Newbie... never ridden anything with two wheels and apprehensive about 3... have been 'practicing' for only a couple of weeks and thoroughly enjoying the learning process. Wish you lived close to Cowtown... have learned so much from Len and the 'guys'... and Mo Lee on here is tremendously helpful... encourage you to read all the positive posts... some of the seeming negative posts certainly had me asking questions and actually that's a good thing... if you test drive you will buy...
btw, I went to Cowtown today on the Spyder and it was my first adventure on I-44... great time... not much distance for some, but for me, I am hugely elated...
