• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I think I already know the answer but here go's... Have a chance to own a Spyder 2015 F3-S and its still new with a few demo miles for just over $14k. need to sell my 2011 RT-S 1st, hoping to get $16 for it..need at least $15k to cover tax and such for F3, love my RT-S but I would surely love a new F3 with 2 year warranty, as my RT has been somewhat of a repair nightmare..:banghead: Anyone looking for a great used 2011 RT-S with tons of extras and is in beautiful condition? My decision will be coming soon..

It might be best to post your Bike in the "4-Sale" area.
That's where you'll catch the folks that are specifically looking for stuff that is for sale...
Goos luck!!

Agree...

:agree: with a few more pictures and a list of the extras the new owner will be getting. I would add that all issues have been corrected...

You could also shop for an extended warranty for your existing ride.

Extended warranty is available.

The B.E.S.T. warranty on my '12 RT-S will expire next month and I was able to get an extended warranty to cover it when it expires. I got the warranty called Riders Advantage thru a company called Century Automotive Service Corp. Phone # 888-338-0389. I don't believe it can be purchased direct and must be sold thru a dealer. They offered plans up to 48 months. I can't say it was inexpensive but with the potential cost of repairs if needed, to me it was worth it. You might check with your local dealer and have them contact the company to get you a quote.

Sorry to say but based on my own experience selling a 2013 RT a year ago, buying my 2014 RTS in Dec 2015, and observing prices around here and the net, and NADA, you're about $4000 to $5000 high on your expectation.

Your Dreaming if you think your going to get $16,000 for a 2011 RTS?? I could get a Used 2014 3 Cylinder 1330 for about the same Less!

Agree. We sold 2 2013 RTs and the last one only brought 10.5 and took over 6 months to get rid of. The v-twins are a hard sell. With 2014 RTs in the 14 and 15 range now, the earlier bikes are bringing MUCH less than that.

You guys are forgetting that the 2013 model year RTs took the biggest hit for the overheating problems...
I'm not saying that he can get that much money for the bike; but it's his game, and I wish him the best of luck!

Can't be both

You describe it as being in great condition by a repair nightmare. Can't be both ways.

True, but I kind of think that the 2013 value slide slowed down to normal after the heat recall fix. I don't think they ever dropped below the values of the 2012 RTs, at least not by much. That makes reference to them as a guide for selling price of earlier ones valid, IMO. With the heat recall fix the 2013s are good machines.

.... With the heat recall fix the 2013s are good machines.

And arguably the best of the V-twins....

Certainly here in Aust $16k wouldn't be an unreasonable or unreachable ask for a 2013 RT - in fact, it would probably get snapped up PDQ at that price, or anything short of $20k for that matter!

Dunno how you'd go shipping one over & 'converting' it tho...

It might be best to remove the rt has been a repair nightmare statement
