• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am just wandering if there is any interest in starting a new Virginia ridding group specifically for fauquier loundoun and prince William counties.

New Virginia riding group

I am in Fauquier county and I am always looking for people to ride with that are in the Northern Va. area. There is the Old Dominion Group that is getting started that you may want to check out. I would be interested in meeting somewhere to discuss riders in the counties you mentioned.

I recommend joining Spyder Ryders of America Old Dominion Chapter. You can find the on Facebook. I live in eastern Prince William County (Lake Ridge), I would be interested in joining for some rides.

I'm also in Faquier County, closer to Warrenton side past Vint Hill road. I'd be down for a ride anytime, just inbox me!

I'm not sure there is a need for a new Virginia group. Old Dominion Spyder Riders is relatively new and still growing. I've been planning on signing up since the earlier pre charter days. Just haven't got around to it yet.

You also do not need a formal riding group to have spontaneous rides. Last fall we had a foiledge viewing Skyline Ride just by announcing on here it was going to take place. 14 riders showed up. We had a great ride and a very good day.

I'm in southeast Virginia, never even heard of these counties. :dontknow:

LOl

Must be the other end of the state.

.

I used to live in Bristow (Prince William County) and moved to Kearneysville WV in 2005 (WV Eastern Panhandle) I'm 32 miles from Leesburg and 63 miles from Manassas. - I am always up for a ryde . . . well, almost always. I have an appointment for the 2013 recall on 17 Sep and am limiting my rides to short ones until then.

I am located near Staunton, VA and ride throughout VA and WV all the time. Always looking for more spyder riders to ride with so message me if you want to meet up and ride! Just signed up for the meetup group too!

Staunton is 4 hours at 75 mph from me. :(

.

With that said, I am in the process of ordering a trailer to take the bike hopefully a few places. One being the Virginia mountains if we can find a nice weekend or two.

Its been a few years unfortunately since we've been to the mountains....probably 6-7 years. :(

Nowhere near..!!

But you have a lot of chatter and have groups and can form new ones. Never too many and you can belong to several and never lack for a ryde..!! :ohyea::ohyea:

Id have better luck w local motorcycle groups since I've only ever seen one other Spyder around here while on my Spyder. Not really my thing though. I like to just ride, enjoy the scenery or peoples looks lol, don't need some planned out schedule to follow and trying to get everyone organized...been there done that got the t shirt. :roflblack:
