• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New to the Spyder World

I just bought my first Spdyer on Friday. Based upon recommendations from this forum, I bought the last 2014 RT Limited from Louis Powersports. They are a little distance from Kansas but they made it so painless, cheap and reliable shipping, and a great deal. They are putting it together now and it should be here within the next week or two.

I wanted to support my local dealer but they didn't have any Limited's left and didn't have any good deals on the RT-S.

It was the last Limited and is black. I just realized today the Limited color is Blackcurrant and I have only seen Timeless Black before. Does anyone know if there is a big color difference between the two?

I've only ridden a Spyder two years ago for a short distance (about 3 miles), and I am anxiously awaiting mine.

I wanted to thank all those in this forum for the great ideas and help in pulling the plug on the purchase

When I bought my spyder back in Sept I had never ridden one. Had always been on 2 wheelers on the street. For me riding the spyder is a lot like riding an atv. Have ridden atvs a lot over the years just not much on the hwy except in Utah and Az. After realizing how similar the ride was, the spyder came easy for me. Have fun with yours

I am really liking mine too!!!

Yep, just over 3 weeks and 1400 miles into the 3 wheeled lifestyle myself and I am loving our new RT SM6 also....My wife likes the comfort of the rear perch so much I have to watch her close to keep her from falling asleep.....The only thing it needed right away was highway pegs and got some from Lamonster and they work great for me....We are gonna enjoy many relaxing miles from ours and hope you do also! Congrats!!!!

The weather cooperated and it is finally here. My new Spdyer is here. I took it out for a 35 mile ride today and I absolutely love the Black Currant color. I know I will have many miles of fun. :)

:congrats:...If the last Spyder you drove was 2 years ago you are in for a HUGH surprise ...............The 1330 Ace engine is much smoother , quieter , stronger , lowerer revving , smells better , the list goes on and on. You have started with the best Spyder BRP has designed to Date , plus the maintenance on this engine / trans is way less......Have Fun .......Mike
