... have arrived on the scene!
With all of the snow squalls and snow flurries the past three days; I was SURE that I'd be purchasing a studded snow tire!
Saturday morning, it was an "interesting" 32 degrees as I got up to start the day... I knew that I had a 10:30 appointment at Netzley Tire, so I rooted for the Sun to climb high, and shine bright!

Derrick mounted up the Kumho Ecsta that belonged on my Toyota Tacma

, while I asked the usual dumb questions...
"How can you pull the tire, and not have it affect the alignment or belt tension?"
Ron patiently explained: "As long as you get the wheel positioned firmly against the stops; it'll be right back where it started..."
As usual; he was right!
25 psi in it, and they moved to the front of the bike; tackling the installation of BajaRon's shock pre-load adjusters...
It's a scary thing; watching somebody compress a spring, and pull it out of the shock... nojoke.
After a fashion; they had the bike buttoned back up. With two turns on the adjusters; I was ready for a run!
The bike felt a bit more connected up front... Not a lot, because I was looking for incremental changes at this point. I've been pretty happy with the handling of the bike. I was looking to firm up the front a little bit, without adding any harshness...
SUCCESS!!
hyea::yes: The bike doesn't lean over as much in the really sharp twisties, and it didn't impart any shock to the bars, when pounded through any of our legendary pot-holes... :2thumbs::2thumbs:
This is yet another winning effort from Ron Athon!! Thanks, Bro!:firstplace::clap:
