New Sway bar installed on 2023 S2S at BajaRon's - Highly recommend!

Hey folks,

We traveled up from Hiawassee GA to Greenville TN to BajaRon's shop on Thursday Aug 24. Had them install their Ultimate bar on the new S2S.
Bike is a bit more stable in the corners now. Tracks straight just like previous to the SB install. Wife is liking it. I guess the next step is Vredsteins up front but only if necessary...:2thumbs:

Also had them install F3 handlebars to allow my wife to reach the bars and be properly located on the BRP drivers back rest for back support and proper riding position.

Since she is 5' 4" and has short arms, she was not very comfortable on the bike. Any one getting a new bike should think about riding position and comfort. I recommend making sure the handlebars and seat fit correctly so that you dont get shoulder pain or end up hunched over getting back pain.

Daniel handled most of the install. Great guy and very knowledgable !!! BTW only took him 1 hour for the SB install with time spent answering questions and consulting on other items. They spent quality time trying different solutions on the riding position etc. Wife spent time trying out the positions in front of the shop.

We also had fun meeting Paige and the other crew members. Highly recommend the shop, the folks and the service they provide. :yes::clap:

Wife ordered a Stinger trailer 3 weeks ago. Freight company just dropped it off.

Once we get it unfolded and squared away, we will find room in the garage. We did order it with the alloy wheels and a matching spare wheel/ tire. Gotta figure how to mount that on the front of the trailer.

Plan is to load her S2S on the Stinger and tow it behind our 2020 Toyota Highlander V6 Limited. We will have our two Dogs in the Toyota...She will drive the 2019 RTL and i'll drive the Toyota/Stinger trailer combo. Alternatively we can drive our 2019 Slingshot SLR alongside the Toyota/Stinger/S2S

So now the whole "family" can travel a bit more easily........

Here in WI, winter storage is not too far away. Next spring, I may just need to make a trip down to Baja's shop to have the Ultra sway bar and shock adjusters installed. He's 750 miles away, so hmmmmm

Pretty much. Leave early AM, check in to motel later that day. Stop in at opening and start heading north after completion. Yup.. Very doable

Thats what I did... But I am only 6 Hrs away... Left at 3pm and rode till 8pm... Spent the night and made my 9:30 appointment the next morning... Yeah i could have installed the bar myself but I would have missed out on the ride and meeting the gang at Ron's shop.. Oh, They also installed an Altimax rear tire while I was there.

yeah...im thinking that when its time for new rear tires on both the 2019 RTL and 2023 S2S, i drive them up to BajaRon's shop and have them do it.

So far so good... I left BajaRon and headed to GA via the twisties (3hr ride turned into a 6 hr ride). Then the next day road The Dragon. Everything went extremely well. Tire stuck like glue. Only thing I'm noticing is they are a little louder on the interstate... I only notice it when I don't have my music on.. Way better Ride then the stock kendra tires.

Sway Bar ends and Sway Bars

I have a new 2023 RT Sea to Sky. I have been riding for 25 years (5-10K annually) and this is my first trike. I’m not super mechanical and know absolutely nothing about sway bars.

Can someone help me understand what Sway Bars and Sway Bar ends do? Is this something I really need on my bike? I noticed they are sold separately, does that mean installing one gives less or different benefits than installing both?

I have put about 1K miles in the bike in less than a month. Cornering is definitely different than 2 wheels, how do sway bars improve cornering and over all riding?

While I’m asking, what mods would help provide more umph on acceleration?

As for the 'Umph' issue. Check out the PedalBox or Pedal Commander. You can also have the computer flashed with a tune for more money.

BRP has NOT been up-grading their Sway Bars with the most recent models ..... If you have ONLY 1000 mi. on your Spyder ... you have no idea what it's capable of ..... however it's your money ....... I'd wait a few months ..... Mike :thumbup:

I replaced the stock swaybar end links with Billet aluminum ones that Lamonsters sell. I didn't like the idea of the stock ones being some kind of plastic. I figured there was a lot of pressure exerted on them especially in the twisty's if your pushing hard.
I'm sure BRP tested there links, and I believe there's no way they would have let them roll off the production floor if there was the slightest question of durability.
That being said I went for the billet ones. "Hey" they look kewl too. >

BRP has been up-grading their Sway Bars with the most recent models ..... If you have ONLY 1000 mi. on your Spyder ... you have no idea what it's capable of ..... however it's your money ....... I'd wait a few months ..... Mike :thumbup:

BRP has not made any changes in the sway bar since 2013. The current sway bar tests out the same as the one we have off of a 2013 model.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm considering the BajRon sway bar, but they have 2. The one-piece bar is for single riders, but they recommend the 3-piece for two riders and more spirited riders. Has anyone installed the 3-piece bar on their 20-25 RTL? I have a '23 S2S.

Yes BaJaRon installed his Ultimate bar on my 2023 Sea to Sky. As Ron indicated above the design of the bar has not changed on the RT's since 2013. I do not think the install is any different except to install the bar ends and torque them to spec. In fact the install should be easier since the central part of the bar is a straight piece of metal. Then the bar ends get installed and then the endlinks to the chassis......

Removal of the old u shaped bar requires the Spyder to be about 24" above the ground for the necessary clearance.

Yes, I have 26000 miles on my 2024 RTL with the new bar, it works great! You can cut the end off of the old bar and not have to raise the Spyder any higher than needed to put the new bar in.
