• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello All !!!!!

Gary from Monmouth County,New Jersey

Looking to pick up my new baby (2016 Can am Spyder RTS) on Thursday, and was just wondering if there is anything that one should look for on a pure-delivery inspection ?????? Thoughts on the BEST warranty !!!!!!

Thanks all !!!!!!!

Check the rear tire condition: pay close attention to the center sectoin of tread.
(After it's been driven straight ahead for about 30 feet or so...): take a look at where the belt is riding on the rear pulley. it should be "JUST" off the inner flange.
What extra "stuff" has been added to the bike? Check to make sure that everything functions as it should.
Ask about when it was last serviced. The 1330s should see an oil change each 9,300 miles, or yearly: whichever comes first!

It's not obvious from your post if you've bought it privately used, from a dealer used, or from a dealer as a new left-over.

If from a dealer as a new left-over, check the front wheels to make sure they're mounted on the correct sides (the front tires are directional.) I remember we had someone a while back who posted his new bike as it was being assembled by the dealer and the front wheels were mounted on the wrong sides.

Oh, and :welcome:

Tough one...

If you are not familiar with the spyders it is tough. The visual walk around to see there is no damage to the body panels, rims etc. Make sure you have two keys, tools and the owners manual. Check fluid levels and tire pressure and fire her up and give her a spin. The directional tires check mentioned above is good call as well. The take a picture and post it here....:roflblack:

Test ride????

Safely remove hands while rolling to see if it pulls left or right. Also test at speed to feel if tires are balanced.

After you pick-up your spyder, get a laser alignment.

Be sure everything works correctly, before you leave the dealership.
