• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

new speed record for 3wheelers

a good serviced GS/RS runs around 205 kilometers/hour ..thats 127,38 miles /hour..
(tested by myselve but without a video-clip ..) but here is a french-clip
my RT reaches around 110 miles/hour ...
It is a bit different at an altitude of 4,200 feet, in the heat. It is also a bit more difficult when it is certified clocks instead of an optimistic speedometer, and setting a record requires averaging the runs made in both directions, within a short period of time. nojoke

I can hit 130 mph on a long straight away and I do it on a regular basis if I am late for work the spyder sm-5 tops off at exactly 130 mph redlined

Must be modified or one of a kind, i have had 2 RSS models and have never seen over over 115 mph on a good day .

According to my calculations, with standard gearing, you can only get to ~125 at best. Someone is a bit over-optomistic.

The most my Gs Sm5 [08] would go Was 118, and that's on a 2/3 mile stretch ,
At about 110 it seems to start hitting an Aerodynamic wall. :dontknow:

123 mph ?? really that seems REALLLY slow . I mean i understand drag and blah blah blah . i mean he has the record and congrats but that just seems really slow LOL . I guess we will have to beat that ;P ill go get my nitrous kit from my ...( wait i only have the bottle left I think nevermind LOL ). My wife would soo kill me if I even thought of spraying my spyder LOL .

I noticed they touted the 'Stability' of the Lehman trike. Wonder why that is?

I had a 1970 Kawasaki tripple that was the most unstable motorcycle I've ever ridden. And it didn't give me trouble until 130mph! It pretty much give me 'You're Going to Die" trouble at that speed! :yikes:

I had a Kawasaki tripple too they where wnstable and scarry

Remember that's a officially timed [and distance] run, Not some one looking down at a inaccurate speedo while trying to kept the Trike on the road,
And not hit anything.

yeah I know its the " OFFICAL " timed run . but still seems really slow to me , yes I know speedos are typically incorrect when they say your doing 100 you may be doing like 90 ( just threw rough numbers out there ) . I mean I know not all vehicles are capable of like 200 mph passes or high speed runs just 123 seems slow to me . But I still give the guy credit for doing it, it being able to run on bonneville is awesome and I hope one day i get the chance to try it at least .

Reached a 124 but after seeing what the GPS had been reporting it makes me wonder how accurate the Speedo was on the Spyder.
I think we had a few members on this forum report differences with the speed between spyders traveling together. Also makes me wonder if the mileage is correct on these things.

Last time I read somethign about the speedo being crazy off all bikes are "off" to a certain degree last bike I saw test closest "offical" speed vs speedo speed was a buell !!!! to bad I dug some of those bikes to ;P

Three cylinder two strokes........

Anyone here remember in the sixties an Excelsior was marketed in UK with a British Anzani 2-stroke triple.....long engine of around 350 I believe....sounded beautiful....same engine went into the little Berkley sports car "kit". DKW had a 3 with 2 cyl. up and 1 cyl. forward and between. Didn't Agostini race a triple...?
Love my Trident but Spyder is better.
