• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

For those of you who look at such things I have changed my visited states map. It now reflects only those states I have visited on the Spyder.

Well, come color up Maine!! It may not be as breath taking as the Midwest, but I think the coastline is very nice!

bangor down to the coast and up to lubec was one of my favorite rides. i miss the old iron bridge in Bucksport ?.

mom & dad lived in richmond , now my older brother lives there.

Yep. I think you need to plan an east coast ride. Stop in on your way to Maine…. and the Adirondacks. We’ll give you the B&B treatment.

I sorta like it better! I have visited every state accept Hawaii with 4 wheels and my toyhaulers with my kids and wife. But since this is a spyder site, I did the same when I first joined spyderlovers. Only marked states with the spyder, Not even my 2 wheel states from previous rides. My map only shows the states I’ve either traveled direct to and through or dropped the gate on the toy hauler and rode actually in with my spyder. I like your thinking Pegasus!

What's the URL to get the map? At the moment I'm too lazy to search the forum for it so want to take the easy way out! Thanks.

I'll justify my request by saying I'm sure there are others who would like to have it and don't know which is the best one to get!

I just used the link at the top of the page. At 76 with an aging Spyder that's at 75,200 and having out lived my money I don't think I will be traveling east very far. There are several things I would have liked to have seen but I'll be experiencing them thru others eyes. I've had a good run thru my years on 2 and 3 wheels. Once upon a time I was good for 15 to 20,000 miles a year, but those years I think are past. I keep riding and enjoy it as much as ever, and will keep it up as long as the Spyder and myself hold out.

Hi ya Pegasus1300
thanks for the inspiration to start a map. I have one lonely state filled in since we're brand new to the Spyder community, but we'll be adding more soon!
Like others have mentioned, we've been to most all of the contiguous state on all sort of trips, but this map will be reserved for just Spyder visited states.

Welcome to this forum. It should be an easy project to add states to your map. If you’ve never been to the Black Hills, come play with us.

Thats how I did mine too. I have visited all the states but Hawaii in person but my spyder map on spyderlovers signature is for spyder rides actually touching the ground and moving, not even previous 2 wheels but only spyder. My toyhauler map is for the toyhauler on a separate site! My spyder has been in a few more states but was in the toyhauler at the time so that didn’t count! For example Indiana, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas are not colored because it was in the toyhauler garage and not on the road.

Dumb Dumb me. I see I already commented. I saw the date and it’s exactly 1 year to day old. OOOPS! It says 22 not 23. Living in the past I guess:)

After reading this post I lost most of my states visited. I’ve adjusted it to show states visited on the Ryker. Looks like I have a lot of work to do.I may get to add Massachusetts, Vermont and New Hampshire this weekend.

Ho Poppie thanks for resurrecting this old post. It just takes time ( and money). It took my most of my life to fill my 2 and 3 wheel map. Moater don't worry about it, we all haven't noticed the post date a time or two.
It's fun to go back and visit states you saw on 2 wheeles, but now on three.
I think I have seen about as many as I am going to see. I just don't have the long distance stamina I used to have. Two to 3 hours is about all I can do any more. I did one ride down to Monticello,Ut this year and I was glad to make it back home.

And here I thought the map was for all the states I've been to, LOL.

Most use the map just for that reason. When you have owned over 20 motorcycles plus spyders, things can get confusing. I pulled my map years ago when it was a "controversial" thing. I like to travel, don't matter if it was by car, motorcycle, Spyder, or canoe.
