• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Side panels

I was having zero success communicating via email with BRP care on a couple of issues.

Contacted a great dealer and have the issues resolved.
One of them being the new 2014 panels for our 2013 ST provided by BRP.

The great dealer? A spyderlovers site sponsor...

Sponsor of SpyderPaloosa (Do you have your raffle tickets... proceeds to benefit a wounded warrior with a track chair?

Thanks so much!!

Don't wait, I highly doubt BRP will be doing anything about the exhaust system especially for the ST owners, they are replacing the side panels and that's their fix for most owners, buy the CAT Bypass from Pitbull Powersports, you won't believe the difference it makes

I finally received the new panels from my dealer and I installed them. They look great! Is it normal procedure for the dealer to keep the old ones? I questioned him and he said it's an exchange. How did it work out for you guys?

I installed mine too BUT was able to keep the old panels.
BTW the dealers are given 18 minutes to install the replacement panels.

It took my dealer about an hour or so to install my new panels. I was the first one he converted over. AT one point he went out and looked at a 2014 that was on the floor. But i was ok with that he took his time and did it right.

They let you install them?

I'm still waiting on reimbursement for ones i installed.... :(

It also took our dealer an hour to replace the panels on our STL and it was the first one they ever did as well. They did keep the old panels. This is standard practice with all warranty work for any vehicle.

Happy!

I took a chance on a great deal on a 2013 STS knowing about the heat issues. One email to BRP and then a case number to my dealer. I will have the new panels done on my 600 mile service next week. All is good and looking forward to a cooler seat/ leg area. If I did not read this forum I would have never known BRP was doing this under warranty...thanks all for making this forum a place for learning!!

Ya, this forum is fantastic. Lots of great information on here. We did the same thing. We bought our STL with the thinking that we would buy the new panels for our Spyder and low and behold BRP did it for us....with the help of fellow Spyderlovers like Flamingobabe giving them a good swift kick in the behind.

Good to hear.

Were the panels the only heat mod you have done?

No aftermarket air filter right?

No on the filter, I did however add alot of heat shielding before BRP replaced my panels. The only added shielding no longer in place is on the new panels.

Is brp replacing 2013 panels with 2014 panels
on their dime if asked?

They are indeed ... after replacing the panels for we first three (LOL did that even make sense? ), and making sure it is a viable fix, BRP is stepping up exponentially ... it's like night and day. KUDOS ...
