• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Side panels

My 2014 ST-S panels have shipped

Good news: Subject: Your Can Am Spyder US order has shipped!

I am expecting the parts either Friday or Saturday or maybe Monday as a last resort.

I have been searching the web for 2014 ST-S pictures and am now pretty well convinced that you will need four panels and not two to make a complete installation on the 2013.

Never any harm asking....worst scenario is getting a "no". :sour:
Seriously Carl, thank you in advance for trying. Much appreciated.

New panel pictures

I went to the International Motorcycle show in Novi Michigan yesterday and took the attached pics of the New ST Panel and it's two middle attachment points where the two parts overlap. The BRP rep tried to tell me I only had to buy the rearward panel to make the change on my 13'. There were no 13's there to show him his error. Regardless, they looked "Sweet" and just from that point alone is reason to do it, but I might wait until I hear that they make significant temp changes before I drop $1200+.

Sorry for the not so good pics, done with iPhone.

Thanks for the pictures. And you can really see that you do need a total of four panels to complete the job. The new panels definitely give the ST a cool factor look.

Mine are in transit and might be here today, and if not today then Monday for sure, I hope.

I will take some individual pictures of the panels when I get them so we can see first hand how they look.

Doesn't look like as much of a "scoop" as I've seen on the RTs? :dontknow:

My first Picture may be a little misleading, the second one shows the offset more and it's definitely there.
What I found interesting is that the smaller top vent on the rearward panel seem to get smaller or maybe because it's a screen on the 13's and a hole on the 14's but it's definitely different.

Thanks Char! This question has popped up "elsewhere", and now I know the correct answer! :2thumbs:
Is yours running better with the new plugwires?

The plug wires definitely make a difference but sometimes it is hard to tell. I notice it the most when I am accelerating hard out of corners or when punching it getting on the Interstates.

BRP added some additional parts listings for the ST last night so this morning I spent an hour going through these listings and came up with the following information.

To add the 2014 ST panels to a 2013 ST you will need a total of four (4) panels.

Evidently the BRP rep I spoke with was not too familiar with his own product. Or least not as well informed as us SpyderLovers.

I have attached a picture of the part numbers I gleaned from the BRP listings. The different part numbers are highlighted in Circuit Yellow Metallic, since that is the only color in which I am interested.

Carl

I think that for the full conversion you'll need two additional panels. Looks like they go inside of the scoop. Part numbers: 705007329 left and 705007329 right.
I may be wrong, but I'm afraid not.

Hmm, those could be the trim panels that one can see in this picture posted by golfsferr. Guess I will be adding those to my next parts purchase (this week) since I also need to order some Can Am decals and a few other fasteners. Sigh... Oh well, this is a work in progress and when I finish I will have a complete parts list for the conversion.

I'd be interested in knowing how close the paint matches being a different batch a year later.

Also think this has got to make a tremendous/ very obvious difference to be worth the cost/trouble.
