• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Ryder 2 questions

Rawhide kid

New member
Woohoo! Got my registration, title, and plates friday finally. Started ordering some farkles last night. I'll try some questions here but may start new thread.

I want to order the baja Ron swaybar and links to install, and also the lighted bumpskid.

1. Should I do the swaybar first for sure or does it matter? Will I have to uninstall the bumpskid to put the swaybar on? $650 or so for both, so may wait a bit to purchase.

Ordered drink2go cupholders and rivco foot pegs so far.

2. I also have a small dog (poodle size) that LOVES to ride. Was hoping to fit a tank bag on and remove the top for him to sit in. Haven't found anything yet. Any advice?

Delaying buying a driver backrest for now til I know I'll keep my seat.

lots of monsoon rain here lately so it's been tough to find a good time to ride without risk of getting totally soaked!

This arrangement doesn't sound to safe.:dontknow:

I checked for dog harnesses to see which were the safest, after my gf said Subaru was involved with the testing. You might want to check out the harness here, and see if it's adaptable to the tank bag you are interested in:

I may look further into it since I'm looking for a harness for the dog's car seat.

Good point. I do I have harness for him that we've used on many bicycle rides. Plan to use same one for the spyder. But I need place for him to sit. Bicycle basket won't fit!

Once installed the bumpskid should be easy on/easy off if you install the swaybar second.

Cannot offer you any advice about the fur buddy riding along.

Your idea is good about checking whether you keep the seat or not.

Enjoy your new :ani29:

Congrats..!!

on being race ready..!! :2thumbs: you can do them both at the same time, or one at a time in no particular sequence. As for the tank bag...Nelson Riggs or Kuryakyn have some choices but have not seen pups ryding that way. Seen baby car seats, baskets, outrigger kennels, baby carriers (shoulder harness type) but never in a tank bag...pic's if you find the right one. Good list you got going...

I have no advice on the parts, but look up CyncySpyder on the dog issue. He takes his dog (Teddy) everywhere on his :ani29:.

You can reach his profile here: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/member.php?5338-CyncySpyder

Congrats on the Ryde. Enjoy.
