New RT Performance Wheels SNEAK PEEK!

OK, so my beloved Silver RT got delivered to Cowtown a couple of weeks ago for a very special project. I have slowly been adding the RT Performance Package that Len at Cowtown has developed. First, I added the Elka Performance shocks, then after hearing the Two Brothers exhaust, I added that. I waited on Len to perfect the Ram Air Induction for those of us with fog lights and he did, so to Cowtown I went! :thumbup:

Len put it in the shop and began working on it. He asked me if I wanted the full RT Performance Package, and of course YES I did! So, he is doing the Volt and Temp gauges, custom dash, Ram Air, Hi Flow Air Filter and all the rest.

He is also doing the wheels...........:shocked:

For a while now, the Full RT Performance Package had incorporated the 6 spoke RS Wheels, but Len is always thinking outside the box and he wanted to do something very different and remain true to the RT Roots. He asked me if he could try this new idea out on my RT instead of using the RS wheels. I told him that I trusted him and whatever he came up with would be great with me.

I HAD NO IDEA how much I would love what he came up with until he sent me some pics today.

So what he did was send my wheels off to powder coating with a nice shiny gloss black. THEN they took the wheels to a CNC machine and milled off the powder coating on the spokes to reveal the brushed aluminum. I was at work when he texted me the pics, and I almost fell out of my chair.

I knew he wasn't quite ready to release the idea, but I asked him if I could post the pics and show you guys here what the newest edition of 2012 RT Performance Spyders will be rolling around on!

1. First, the Stock Wheels,
2. then the Black Powder Coat,
3. then Side By Side
4. After CNC
5. Finished Product!

When this thing is done, you aren't going to recognize it! Maybe "ol silver" will begin to get noticed when I am out riding with you and Al now!! Of course there won't be much silver left. opcorn:

The next time I am in Pensecola, I am hoping ol silver won't be playing a distant second fiddle to the Red Chief! That restaurant scene still cracks me up. We stood there talking to those folks about Spyders for five minutes, all gathered around your Viper Red RT before one of them looks around and goes "oh look, here's another one"! Sheesh! There was just no love for the silver!

Darn Steve. U stole my thunder... Len and I had already agreed ( even before the wheels were done) that they would be on my new Spyder. Now quit stealing my thunder LOL..... Apparently we will both be getting the same thing.."...HOWEVeR. Mine will be special with MY purple detailing on it!!!!!
