• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Rear Tire

Well, I got my new rear tire put on and picked up my spyder today. I had about a 20 mile ride home and it feels great. I will have to spend some more time on it to see if there is anything noticeably different from the OEM or not. This is what I got 225/50R-15 Kumho Ecsta AST Here is a photo of the tire:

It was $67 delivered to me. Less than half the cost of OEM at our dealership.

How did you come out with the problem of uneven wear on the front tires? I am noticing uneven wear on my right front tire in the last few thousand miles. It looks like negative camber and is only on the right side. Aside from this my front tires are going good at 33,000 miles. I suspect a problem with the steering linkage. I also have a strange noise (chirp) on the right front when the wheel goes up and down. I know this is not from the suspension because it is not there when I rock the Spyder while standing still. I keep the A arms lubricated (8 fittings).

I need a rear tire and intend to use an automobile tire like you and Lamont - maybe a different choice of tire.

What can I learn from your experience on the front end?

You can learn what I learned, check your tire pressure all the time. My pressure was way off. To be fair, I hadn't checked it all winter and not as often as I should have before then. I had a difference of 7psi between the two tires, and they were both low. Uneven wear due to very uneven pressure. An expensive lesson to learn. My Ride-On goes in my new tires this weekend.
