• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Radio not switching Playlist with IPOD

I Have a 2011 RT-S that had the older style radio that was cutting out and IPOD would switch to aux. Test showed it needed replaced with happened this weekend picked it up on Sat afternoon and headed home. Everything sound a lot clearer and seemed fine until I went to switch to a different Play list on the IPOD normally I would Press and hold the right button and it would switch. Now when I do that it shows the new playlist on the bottom line, but goes back to the beginning of the playlist I have been listening to:banghead: I have tried to switch IPODs same result , press and hold right mode button top IPOD lists show up scroll to different playlist or song with the same result. Is there something I am missing ? I went through the IPOD ( gen4 Itouch) ( worked before and on other Spyders)made sure shuffles were off. This is a great forum I hope someone esle has seen this

Thanks

Can not help with the problem but i also have the Ipod Touch 4th Gen and it works properly with the playlists, although sometime i have to press and hold twice to get the playlist function to work as opposed to just changing to the next song,

Thanks for posting

I found a friend I work with that has a IPOD touch that he setup with multiple Playlists
His worked perfectly and with any of the older wheel click style I've been able to try it only changes the playlist name at bottom but then goes back to the begging of the current Playlist:banghead:. My IPOD is a gen5 and my wifes is a gen4 Apple nolonger updates the firmware on them. The old radio from my 2011 would play these fine (when it would reconize them being there and not AUX) but my new radio is fresh from the factory and may not be able to play the older IPODS properly now. Iam going to our IPOD repair and sales store where there are techs I know from when thet were students at Western Washington University working in the techology helpdesk for campus and see now far back the nw radio will work with the older IPODS

I have an older iPod its the 60 gb color model, don't use it any more other then while riding so leave connected to the spyder 24/7.

While at a stop I can use the multifunction control to list all the playlists, its 60gb so I have a lot. I can choose any playlist and it works fine, but once its finished the chosen playlist, it always goes back to my first playlist. Which is Adele..

Intrestingly, while riding you can press left or right on the multifunction control to go back or forward one song. If you hold either one of those it should do the same but with playlists, however it only ever allows me to jump between the first two playlist out of 30 plus lists.

Thinking about getting one of the newer small form iPods with a solid state drive to leave on the spyder, don't think all the vibrating is good for the disk drive in the 60 gb model.

Whats bad is trying to look cool and manly next to a group of HD riders while blasting (singing along too) Adele

:agree: Nancy has crashed two of them on the Spyder. Finally got her a Nano and all is well.

Double check the sync settings in your iTunes. I'm totally new to I-Crap (and only got this one for the Spyder), so anyways, I added some new music to my library, and did the sync, went for a ride, and no new music. I later found out that what I was syncing didn't include the new stuff..:banghead::banghead::banghead:
