• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I installed Lamont's CAT bypass and the upgraded Fox rear shock today. The CAT bypass went on without a hitch. Lamont did a real nice job on this thing. The weight difference between the CAT and the performance pipe is amazing. I think the F3 lost at least about 13 pounds with this change. The pipe mates right up to the stock muffler and sounds nice and throaty.

The upgraded Fox rear shock took a little longer but once I figured out I needed a second pair of hands and got the boy to help me (the boy is 35 nowadays, how does that happen?) things went a little smoother. The set up on the shock will be tomorrow. I'm going to have to adjust the fronts also. Two up the front is too soft. I think I need to see Ann and Joe at Squared Away when We see them at Spyders in the Redwoods in August. The F3 feels a little like the GS did before they Got it Squared Away.

I am really beginning to get used to the F3. I haven't been able to ride as much as I would like. I had to have some surgery on my right elbow in April and the doctor finally said I could get out and ride. I really love this F3.

CAT bypass--hows it running?

Any before & after difference--any RPM weak spots---any dyno info?
Thanks,
Darrell

Great..!!

Sounds like your getting set up for some serious ryding. Lamont makes quality stuff.....hope you get the shocks dialed in and we run into one another at SITR...

Chupaca, looking forward to meeting you at SITR. I enjoy your posts. Now, with a little luck here are some pics and some info on the parts.

Here is what she looks like in solo mode, the bypass, bypass vs CAT, bypass to stock muff and the shock. More pics to follow a little later.

With the bypass, about 3500 RPMs it begins to growl. As you reach 4000 you begin to hear the roar and as it climbs from there I can' find any weak spots. Feels real strong through the gears. I only have one short ride in with the bypass installed, but I made it work while I was out. I still need to set up the shocks. More info after I get to that.

Any chance of a video/audio clip of the exhaust? Looks good.
I might be able to pull that off. We'll see.

Ok, let me start with this. I don't do much video, 1. I hope this works 2. I hope this don't stink too much...
