• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Owner & want to change headlight + foglight bezels to black - anyone done this?

Have owned everything literally. Just bought my first 2015 CanAm Spyder Rt-S special I guess. I have looked, and can't find much. Really want to change these headlight and foglight bezels to black. I have taken lots of car headlights apart via the oven. Has anyone taken these apart and blacked them out? Or does anyone sell blackout lights?

I really like the bike, big change from a powerful CVO Harley, but I am ready to set back for a while and enjoy the ride, not the thing under me.

Consider an ECU flash for some more horsepower and torque. Many folks here have done it and shown their taillight to plenty of curzers.

With a stage 2 flash you can have both, but will need premiun fuel.

I have a stage 1 ECU flash and couldn't be happier. No, It's not my poor, old ,slow V-Max.

It is a 2015, with a Cat delete, two brothers, and ECU reflash, I am pretty sure on the reflash. I am finding that out now. This is not slow, but your kidding right. I owned Several Vmax's, Hyabusa's, ZX14s and road raced RC51's. ... My Harley CVO 120 Stage IV would walk off and LEAVE this bike AT ANY SPEED. I had to run 93+ in my CVO at all times, so the premium is NO big deal. There is NO WAY it will outrun a Vmax of ANY year. That is a 10-second bike STOCK. You are kidding I am sure. This bike might see a 15 second 1/4 mile?? iF You have CanAm, that can run a 10 second 1/4 mile, please advise I am all ears and I will do it tomorrow. Thanks again.

I enjoy my Spyder for cruzing but my modded V-Max satisfies this old man's need for a burst of acceleration. And yes my :spyder2: does out accererate most other Spyders and many cruzers.

I don't know that anyone has done it yet, but I would like to know as well. Hate the chrome on my 2014.

As far as hadnlebar risers - none that I know of for the 10-19 RTs. There are the Triax handlebars, but they're very expensive.

You said Poor, old, slow, V-Max. A V-max is a 10-second 1/4 motorcycle in ANY FORM AND ANY YEAR. That is what I was referring to. So Yes that was my question. A Vmax will destroy any Harley including a Vrod. I was perplexed.
 
Well I am fixing to do it. I will probably have it done this weekend. Yea i am trying to find a set of those bars now. The dealer is seeing if they have them. The Chrome ones are discontinued and gone.

I've been on this forum for awhile and have not heard of anyone doing that.
 
Well you fixing to see it. This would eliminate the dated ROBOT look of this bike. Those black lights will flow into the body. I hope to do it it this weekend. Is there a thread on taking the lights out? Are they hard to get to?
I need to upgrade my Fogs at the same time. I guess any led bulb will work.
 
The later model RTs - 18-19 I think - had a "dark" version that have the blacked headlights and fogs, might be worth looking for those?
