• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NEW OWNER QUESTIONS

Good evening all,

I am picking up a 2009 Spyder, tomorrow.

I will obviously have a lot of questions over the next couple of weeks, I hope you will bare with me.

I have NEVER driven one, today while speaking with the mechanic at the shop, he warned me, that I should ALWAYS make sure the bike was in neutral before turning it off, otherwise it's a bitch to start if you haven't.

Now knowing what I am like, I will probably turn it off while in gear, any suggestions or recommendations in relationship to this issue.

Thanks Guys

Dom

If you press the brake while starting, the SE will start and shift to neutral by itself. It will not be a bear unless you have a brake switch problem or some other related problem (like not pressing the brake hard enough). This procedure is in your manual, along with a way to manually shift it back to neutral if it gets stuck in gear.
