• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Oil Filter and Cap.

Ride Forrest Ride!
It is my understanding that BRP has issued a new larger Oil Filter so one will not have to change oil until 4,200 miles as opposed to the 2,000.

I am going in this morning and have the Iron horse serviced prior to the Durango journey. So, if my understanding is not correct I will post a correction here. or
If one knows exactly then please post your knowledge.

I bought a filter at my dealer about the same time that Lamont posted about the new filters. I checked and I got the old one so be sure to ask if they have the new ones available yet.

Clarification please---I thought the OIL filter was the same size, just less susceptible to coming apart. Is it the trans filter that got larger??

The oil filter is a new style/material, to the best of my knowledge. If you have the SE5 then it is the transmission filter and cap that are a new size. My dealer already had them available.

Have fun in Durango!

Soooo... When I get the fluids changed the next time around ( about another 1000 miles), They'll know what to do? :dontknow:

Hey, what's this about filters coming apart? It sounds like BRP had problems with the oil filters and now have updated them? First I heard of filter issues.
