• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. A definate maybe

Hi Bud,

We are just over the hill in Reno and are starting to get a group together in Northern Nevada. I used to have a cabin near Arnold on Hwy. 4 so I know the area ( but that was a life time ago). I'll check out the registration info.

Not Going to drove across the country for a big :spyder2: Meet. But just a hop over the Sierras for a day or two sounds real good.

Good to know...

Great place, excellent ryding. We had a great time there couple years ago at the Spyder in the Redwoods event. :2thumbs:

Beautiful country up there. I went to Columbia Jr. college for a time and lived up near the top of Big Hill Road in Sonora.

My Parents were also Docents at the Columbia State Historic Park.

This would be a great opportunity to meet up with other Spyder owners, it being kinda just down the road from us.
But ... has to be next time as we'll be outta the country those dates. Too bad for us :-(

Also why we can't make fjray's Reuben Run in La Pine :-(

This appears to be about as close to me as i am going to get for a spyder rally despite the fact i live in the 2nd highest population area in the country. I will be checking it out to see if we could make it, would have to contend with having someplace for my daughter to stay while we are gone.

We took a ryde....

Would have liked to go to that one but it conflicts with another. I can't take off two weeks in a row. It would have been nice if you guys would have scheduled this one so that it didn't conflict with Spyders in the Red Rocks. Seems like there are a lot of free weekends so hey, let's just bunch them all up together. Smh...

Ken, it is unfortunate that they are in proximity. However, there are a great many moving parts to developing a Rally. Having availability at the desired location, time accessibility of volunteers, Procurement of vendors and anticipated weather conditions are just a few of the matters that need to addressed. There may not be as many "Free Weekends" as there might seem.
We hope that you can find the time to attend and Ryde Safe!

A Great Time with Great Rydes and People.

All this event will be epic. We will be Ryding through beautiful country with tons of great people, prize drawings at a great venue. Rooms have been reserved at the Black Oak Casino just outside of Sonora. You first need to register on the Rally site. Just google search Nor Cal Spyder Rally and you will find our site. Register on the site, make payment through Pay-pal, the make your reservation at Black Oak Casino (877-747-8777) make sure that you mention that you are a part of the Nor Cal Spyder Rally and you will receive a discounted rate on your room. This is a BRP sponsored event and we are looking for Ryders and Vendors so if you have stuff to sell go to the Sitr and click on the vendor section.

The he rydes are still in the planning stage, but one that will happen for sure will be to Big Trees State Park ( you see Jack there are places you can go see redwoods where it is not cold and foggy) and another will take you over Ebbits Pass (8500 feet) and we may even be headed to Tahoe. So register, reserve.......and RYDE.:yes::yes::yes::yes:

BUMP,BUMP

Hay , lets get some more Northern Nevada ryders to sign up. I know there are a few :spyder2:'s here in the Truckee Medows and it's sourrounds. Register, find a place to stay for a few days and lets have a good :spyder2: time.

Above is a link to the home page for the Nor-Cal Spyder Rally, we just had another planning session and things are really shaping up nicely. The block of rooms we have at the Blackoak Casino is almost gone so get your reservations in quickly. Not to worry though we are going to open another block of rooms to accommodate a lot more Ryders. We have rydes planned to Yosemite, over Ebbetts Pass, and working on a night Ryde under the stars. This will become the premiere West Coast Spyder Rally and this is your chance to be a part of the first of these epic events! So register at the link above and reserve a room at the Blackoak Casino at the link below. This will be a blast!:yes::yes::yes::yes:
