• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nor-Cal Spyder Rally

My Wife and I each riding 2014 RT-S's have registered some time ago and have reservations at the Gold Country Casino & Resort. We are really looking forward to this rally. One hitch has arisen which May cause us to cancel. I have recently been diagnosed with Esoghogeal Cancer which was confirmed by pathology. I meet with an oncologist today to determine the plan of action but it sounds like the bulk of my summer is shot. I will make the PAC NW Spyder fest in Pateros WA in about 10 days, after that I probably won't be doing much. I hope to be able to ride by Sept. in order to attend, but Have been in contact with Jason as to the last date for cancellation. Joe and Ann I will see you in Pateros and explain further. If I don't make it to NorCal I hope you all have a great time. The doctors caught this early and are optomistic to beat this.

Cheers

Bob

Hang in there and fight this thing! Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.

We will be there

Me on my Spyder, hubby on his GS.

This will be our first rally so I don't really know what to expect but I'm excited none-the-less.

Expectations: Most people will arrive on Monday or Tuesday. On Tuesday the vendors will be in place to sell and install the FARKLES you buy. During the day on Tuesday we will be leading a few short rydes around the area. We will also make available several maps of other rydes that you may want to take on your own. In fact all of the rydes we plan for the week will be available as maps so you can take your own rydes. Tuesday night will be a meet and greet where you can meet the vendors and all of your fellow Ryders. We will provide "heavy appetizers" ( dinner included in the price of admission ) with a raffle to follow. Wednesday kicks off with a buffet breakfast (included in the price of admission) from 7:00 to 9:00. We will have group rydes leaving that morning led by Road Captains with experience in the local area to guide you through the fabulous scenery! Wednesday night is an open night for fun and frolicking in the local community, and I think you can expect a rather spirited bowling competition at the casino bowling alley. Thursday we are off on more group rydes all over the Sierras and surrounding area. You can again choose a group ryde, or take a map and go off on your own adventure, your choice. Thursday night we have a big group dinner ( included in the price of admission) with slide shows and a huge raffle, and the chance to reflect with all the great people you have met during the week. We look forward to as many as 200 people from all over the Western US and Canada. CA Spyder, we really look forward to meeting you and your husdand and all riders are welcome even if they don't own a Spyder! See you in September.

Looks like we won't make it, Chemo and Radiation for 6 weeks, then surgery about 4 weeks later which recovery will wipe out september so not happening this year.

Sorry to hear of your health problems. I know Radiation sure put me down for awhile and there was no chemo or surgery involved. Heal quick and clean.
