• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New, must-have accessory...

1 Are these DOT approved?
2 Will it help fuel mileage?
3 Does it create any helmet buffeting?
4 Will it mess up my computer?
5 What will happen if the spring fails while I'm riding?
6 Will it affect cornering?
7 Can the "nanny" sense if it is down?
8 Does it work in the rain?
9 Can I put lights on it?
10 Does it require higher octane?

:dontknow:

1. Approval pending.
2. Maybe, maybe not.
3. Some but not too bad.
4. Maybe... some Dells have been affected.
5. You're up that well-known creek.
6. Cornering is improved.
7. Nope. That costs extra.
8. Sometimes... smushed beer cans are recommended for mud.
9. If you want. Duct tape is recommended.
10. 110 av gas is adequate.

Will you have a Phantom Flat Black one for thousands more than the regular ones?

If I order one now with a $1000 deposit will it still take 9 months to come in?

Will it work with a windshield?

How much faster will it make my Spyder?

What kind of HP will it add to my Spyder.

Will it void my warranty?

Will it bother my neighbors?

Will it make me taller, thinner, richer, better looking?

Hey Jerry I have a few questions before I place my order?

Do you have to extend the cables with these? I'm sure they won't work without extending the cables?

Will they slip around?

Can I get ones 1/2 inch shorter?

Will I be able to install these myself?

My friend says these won't work, will they?

Can I get a discount on these because I have a pulse?

Didn't I see you had a special offer on these a year ago? Can I still get in on that?

Are you sure these will work on "MY" Spyder?

Welcome to the world of aftermarket product sales.

Hey don't forget the "Hey I live in Canada and duty is hitting me very hard. How about a Canadian solution......hey ataDude when are you moving to Ontario" .

If you can't make poke fun of yourself then who can you poke fun of !!!

Hey...can I get one for free?...I'll show it to all my friends and they'll all order from you...while we're at it, if you send me your bike, I will ride that one around and build up necessary mileage for you so that it runs better. If not, can you send me that cool pipe? It'd look good in my garage...

When we're done, can you buy me dinner?

Thanks...I really like you a lot...

I want an electric one so I can push a button to make it go down. That way I wont have to put my foot down at each light.

No. :yikes:

I don't need these i have a SE5 I heard these were only for SM5's with failing parking brake :roflblack:

On the contrary, SEs need them even more. :D

OK... how much money do you have? ;)

I put BOTH feet down at every traffic light, does that mean I don't need one?
No... you definitely NEED one... maybe two. :bdh:

Will it catch fire?:f_spider:

Only if you drag it. It is, after all, made of magnesium.

After 41 years on a two wheeler I kept feeling something was missing! And I always thought it was the front brakes! Now I can rest easy I know what gave me that lost feeling in the pit of my foot.:ani29:

I'm waiting... but haven't seen... your PayPal deposit. What's up with that? :helpsmilie:

I believe the Spyder is a little heavier than a Valkyrie, so are you sure it is strong enough to keep the Spyder from falling over.

Now I read on a thread somewhere that there has been a change from full synthetic to synthetic blend oil for lubricating that hinge pivot mechanism on the Side-Kick. Has there been an official update?

Also, in the manual it states that it requires 11.5 lb-ft of torque to put the side-kick in the upright position but 15.1 lb-ft to put it in the down position. I find that when I push the mode button it seems to require much less force on the upkick to the side-kick but less force on the down kick...Is this normal?

Lastly, I used the dzus fasteners included in the kit to mount both my side-kicks (I am abidextrous so I am left-footed as well as right footed so I needed two side-kicks for my two sides) but they seem to cause the side-kicks to, well, unmount and fall off each time they are pivoted 1/4 of a revolution. While I appreciate this "quick release" feature, I would prefer a somewhat slower-release fastening system...Is one in the works?

Thanks again for a great product.

Will it drag in turns?

Because you know I'm Boy Racer and don't weant anything that will limit my turning ability.

:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:thats funny you have too much time on your hands and he well say :shemademe_smilie: LOL:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

I saw yours and was worried that it might bend so seeing I'm a welder and know how to use one I made my own out of 2" steel.

Product review!

WOW! IS THIS HOT!

All I can say is that this is the best mod since unsliced bread! I have not used it, but can say with absolute certainty that the Spyder WILL NOT fall down if you use this mod. The customer service provided by the supplier is rumored to be non existent, but I think if you send a Paypal deposit and wait patiently for a year or so, everything should work out just fine for somebody.
If I ever see this mod in person on someone elses bike, I will update this review with my impression of thier comments.

Hope this helps you get lots of new deposits!

Bad Product - Do not BUY

Ok, so I have now had my sidekick for two months or at least a good copy of one and lately I have been having shooting pain in my left leg. I went to the doctor and he said this is a clasic example of sidekickidst. He has been seeing an increase in this new disease and said that someone has already started a class action lawsuit.
I guess it has something to do with the amount of force required to extend it to the up position that damages the leg muscles. Avoid this product if you value your health.
Have not heard if the same is true for the new 2" version that some amatuer is now marketing.

I heard your Spyder can catch on fire from all the friction at the pivot point too! :yikes:
