• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Mods for my wife's 2013 ST-S.

???

Also, because I have a set of heated grips to install, as well as aux lights and a USB power plug, I pulled the panel and added the switches. The Heated grips plug is there and went right in. I pulled the hot and ground from the second from the left socket for the USB, and the Aux switch seemed about right so I plugged it in. I wont know on that until the lights come in.

Great thread Jim. I'm going to shamelessly rip-off what you did when I install my new driving lights over the winter.

Major  sir!

All I can say is

Fantastic JOB... I like your bags better than my Givi bags and I like the mounts better.
Way to go on your project.

So after a couple of weeks have you had any problems with that USB port? I read the reviews of it on Amazon and a couple of people mentioned it wasn't suitable for USB-C applications as the internal components aren't up to the advertised rating.

There's also a variation that includes a voltage readout between the USB ports.

No, no issues. It works well in the rain too. I suspect their issues are more with their devices. Some, especially iPhones, don't work well with non Apple USBs.

Grips from here:http://www.ebay.com/itm/172289050588?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT They are a dealer, and he has great customer service.

The USB was here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010T3D1CQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The light switch was here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T7DVYVU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Perfect factory direct plug on the switch. I used the hot and ground from the dummy plug for the USB. Red and black wire came out and plugged right into the USB.

Saw an interesting USB on another post, so I thought I would try it. Plug and play like the one I used:

But the new one has a volt meter, which I wanted to monitor when I have all the accessories and heated gear turned on.

Plug and play, and works perfectly.

Also note the GPS mount.

Wow Jim, all the mods to your wife's bike is awesome. Are you sure you bought this for "her"? Can't wait till it warms up and she can come ride with the club.

I have more miles on it than she does, but she doesn't like the cold. That will change in the spring.
