Nice to see fellow Bama ryders. I purchased my 2011 RTS a couple of weeks ago from a dealer in Hamilton. Where did you get yours?
I agree with the others here, your wife with LOVE it. My hubby has a goldwing and on more than one occasion, he has hopped on my Sypder and taking it for a ryde instead of his GW. As I have mentioned in other post, I was never a MC rider, but now with the Spyder, I ride almost ever day and cannot get enough Hubby and I spent all weekend riding, mostly small towns close to our hometown, ones that we have never really paid much attention too until now. Hope your not the jealous type, because when you two ryde together, her Spyder will get major attention. Before the Spyder, everywhere we went people came up to check out his GW, now more people walk up to my Spyder. I tell him its because its less common/unique, but I really think its because it is so beautiful

Bought the :spyder2:at Big # 1 in Birmingham. Test rode one in Hamilton. Liked them fine Birmingham is closer to me. Bought my 2010 Harley in Trussville. May see you sometime.

BamaSpyder, Congrats and guess y'all are counting the days. DH and I are next door- Atlanta. I've not done a test ride, just sat on an RT and then RS (both 2011). Look forward to hearing about initial Ryde. I've been riding for 6 yrs, off and on and now ready to get a Tryke (or stay 2 Up w/Hubby). I'm hanging out here on SpyderLovers and other boards to learn as much as I can. Our now Bike is a 2010, Kaw Vulcan 1 700 Nomad, and it was just too much for me to ride so Hubby has it now. Sigh.. It's fun to "shop" for now. Karen

My wife and I have been looking at spyder Rts for a few months. She has been riding on the Harley Ultra Classic with me but wanted something of her own. Test road regular trikes but she always went back to the Spyder.
So today I put a deposit on a 2011 Magnesium RTS pick it up on June 2.
:2excited: more so than she is.:yes:Will be asking questions in the future
:gaah:Went to pick up the spyder yesterday. They ordered a sm5 instead of a se5. They had a Black one in the crate so I am going to get it in the morning.

Got the RTS Saturday. My wife was working so I got to get it and ride to a Goldwing event. It stole the show with everyone there looking and asking questions. Of course after riding it all of 25 miles I didn't know much. Oh we really like the black better. didn't know it had metalic in the paint. Really shows up. Shines in the sun. Runs and rides good. Still Learning. Took the wife out to eat on the:spyder2: and a solo ride in a school parking lot. she took to it like fish to water. She can really ride it good for a new rider. I rode on the back with her back home. She did very well. I did not:yikes:being the first time ever on the back. The back handles do not come with finger indentions but it has them now.

Sounds great. :clap: We picked up our new Magnesium RTS from the guys at Big #1 Friday. Took it for a night ride Saturday as soon as I got off from work. Maybe the Bama Spyders can get together sometime.:2thumbs:

I agree, a get together would be great. I have yet to see another:spyder2: around the Trussville area. Hubby has a goldwing trike, but if he is nice I will let him tag along:roflblack:.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get the one you originally wanted but remember "Black is beautiful!!". :2thumbs:
