• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi everyone. I've been thinking about Spyders for a while now and I finally got off my rear and did a demo ride at Motorcycle Mall in Belleville, NJ as part of the Can Am tour.

All I can say is  wow!

I let the guys that were going on the street ride go first on the closed course so they could get going. That me and one other person that had to stay on the closed course since we didn't have licenses yet. The BRP guys were really cool and let us do multiple runs around the course since there was no one else waiting. They're beautiful machines and it really felt great.

And I've already met some super people: camobee and her brother were there at the same time. We had some great conversations. If all Spyder owners are like this, I think I'm going to like this group.

Now the hard part; deciding between the ST-S or the ST Limited.

Welcome to the club.. Canam is a great ride. Bought our2010 Rt in Oct. 2013 and have over9000 miles of smiles.

:welcome:

I don't know the people you met there, but in my experience so far, all the SpyderLovers are wonderful.

I hope you'll decide soon and post a pic of your new machine.

:welcome:
I've talked to the folks at the Motorcycle Mall; they're real nice folks! :2thumbs:
ST-S or ST LImited ??
That's like being asked if you want more bacon; or more sausage, with that plate of pancakes...
Everybody knows that the only correct answer, is "Yes!" :D

Have fun shopping!

:welcome:and :congrats:I bought a 2012 RTS-SE5 2 years ago, and I am enjoying it. You made the right choice. I have 7,453 happy miles on my :spyder2: :nopic: of your new :spyder2:. Deanna777

Welcome..!!

here to Spyderlovers and hopefully soon you will be postinpictures of your new spyder...if you had a good time on a closed course just imagine..!! :ohyea::ohyea:

:welcome: Last year we had the ST Limited. Great machine! The limited had the extras that I would have put on so we went that way. Which ever way you go you are going to have a blast :2thumbs:

:welcome: Welcome to the group....great people here. I owned a 2013 STS, and loved it. Put over 6000 miles on her with no problems and had a blast ryding her, but then I went to Spyderfest and wound up getting a 2014 RT..take some test drives, that will help you find the one you like...the Spyders are easy to ryde and fun, no matter which model you like....I have been enjoying the Spyders for a couple of years now..decided to give up on two wheels for three, and have not been dissappointed..so enjoy!! :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Musta just missed you!

I was at the Belleville demo today too…was in the 12p group….

My M Endorsement is literally still warm from the MVC…got it yesterday after completing a MSF class in Riverdale….

Had signed up for the demo as soon as I saw it….something about 'shut up and take my money!" comes to mind….but I already had the trigger pulled on a RT-S at another dealer….just waiting for the papers to come in….which they did after I finished my demo! (back to the office, get title, go back to MVC, get registration & plates)

And tomorrow I go for a wee ride in the country to bring it home….

let us know if you do get one! (we need more NNJ people maybe?)

I was in the 1:30 group (got there a little bit after 1:00) so yeah, we probably did cross paths.

I'm thinking I'll take the Riverdale course. Problem here in NJ (for the benefit others that don't live here) is that you're not allowed to ride on state highways with only a permit. So getting to a course (sometimes even getting to the MVC!) can be tricky while avoiding highways.

Indeed I will. I'm planning to get the permit before I pull the trigger. Just need to make the time now; work is crazy and shows no sign of easing up any time soon.

Did you get that extra little gift from BRP after your demo ride?

My life and schedule is stoopid to the point of ridiculousness….I couldn't make any of the scheduled classes so I bit the bullet & did a private class…2x 5-hour classes over 2 days…I actually saved money if you figure what my time is worth

The Riverdale (& West Orange) classes have their own bikes & gear, so you just drive up…after we finished on Tuesday I went to the MVC & got the endorsement

and yes, I got the gift from BRP, and added it to one I got in the mail…."in addition to any other offer" indeed!

I was SHOCKED however at the lack of anyone trying to sell me anything after that demo though….anyone try to sell you one while you were there?

If you don't mind my asking, how much did those private classes run you?

No one tried to sell me anything. In fact I only saw one of the salesmen near the end when I was getting ready to leave.

Private was $750 for the 2 days…best part was that it cut the time wayyyy down…didn't wind up blowing the whole day...

MM took it to the opposite extreme…not just were they just 'no pressure' they were 'non existant' sales people!
