• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi all,

I am a new owner of a new 2014 Spyder ST-S purchased 2 weeks ago (leftover unsold and still crated inventory purchased by my local dealer). I only started riding 2-wheelers about 5 years ago, so I am still a novice rider. I had to stop that activity in late January after a weather-related accident put me in the hospital trauma center for 5 days. After that, the wife said any more riding adventures better have more than 2 wheels or else. So, here I am.

I have enjoyed reading all of the posts on this forum for the past few days and see that there is a lot of knowledge and feedback being passed around from member to member. I will be having questions on my Spyder now and then, but I will post those on the appropriate ST page when they arise.

Looking forward to the continued conversations and posts.

sorry to hear about the " accident " glad you are getting back into the riding mode , even if it is with 3 wheels , this machine is still fun too get out on and tour the region you live in ... let us know how your rides go , some folks post photos , of the area they have ridden ,, but some just give the great details of who and kind of day they had ! { just take it slow on the back roads , enjoy the ride and views , }

:welcome:
Have you had any experience riding ATVs or snowmobiles? Their handling is very similar to what you'll experience on a Spyder.

:nopic: of your bike? :2thumbs:

Pictures. OK. Just a few from my ride today up on Skyline Drive in Virginia near Front Royal, Va. Nice sunny day and decent temps. Only my 3rd ride on the machine and did about 150 miles total today. Starting to get the hang of 3 wheels.

Hello from Wilder, Idaho.

My wife and I purchased our 2012 Can Am Spyder RT-SE5 preowned, last September after trading off a 2005 HD Ultra Classic. We're both in our mid 60's, and began to find that the motorcycle was just too heavy and cumbersome to ride comfortably with any ease or peace of mind. Likely, I would have appreciated it more in my 40's. We love the Spyder, and just bought a new, Corbin electrically heated seat with a back rest for it. But a new Can Am RT Limited is a future goal. In the meantime, we'll just continue to accessorize the one we have and with a bit of luck, we aim to ride to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania next year. Please write should you be so inclined.

Arnie,

I live in Leesburg too. Hit me up some time maybe we can ride together. Also Maryland Spyder Web is a great group as is DMV Spyder Ryders. Check them out. Glad to have another Spyder Lover in my town. WELCOME!!!!
