• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ranger, I saw that you'd been entered as the Referrer on a new member, pearlwhite, who has a new registration which is currently in the process of being approved (entered a little less than 12 hours ago as I type! ). There aren't a whole heap of people doing this here, we've only got one Admin type and all of the Mods are volunteers, so sometimes it might take more than just a few minutes to do that processing, maybe even as much as a day or so, especially if the person registering has made it hard to confirm that they truly are who they say they are on their registration; that they have entered a valid email address & other info; &/or that they do come from where they say they've come from - not that I can see anything much of that from your friend pearl tho - but it still takes a little time!?!

But, as I posted in reply to the question pearl posted in the Welcome thread (a question posted barely 9 minutes after the registration was first submitted :sour: ); right now, all of pearl's joining processing hasn't been fully completed, so please be patient; and as SpyderBOT points out in his Welcome post, there's really no benefit in posting questions in the Welcome section where everyone is specifically asked NOT to post support questions - cos in there, few members will ever see them, and even fewer will ever be likely to answer. However, if you look at that Welcome thread for pearlwhite, you'll see that someone DID answer, explaining why it might take a little while before they could post anywhere else, and offering some suggestions to check out in the meantime...

Now if this pearl is not the person you're asking about, then please either post up here with more detail, or drop me a PM and I'll have a look for you - but we do sorta expect that all prospective new members will at least do us the courtesy of reading the Welcome post, maybe checking out the links, and following the directions in that post.
