• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New map for Garmin Zumos 2013.10 (Works on almost all Garmins as well)

I'm having a heck of a time connecting. When I attach the special piece to the Garmin, attach the USB, attach to the USB Port, I get this crazy message that its attached to the wrong port. I've tried all the ports I have on my desk top. Tried all the the ports on my laptop.........I still can't connect. Any ideas folks......Its frustrating.
I have the Zumo 660!:gaah:

Special piece? You have to open the battery cover and there is a mini USB connection inside the GPS. Then connect the other side to the computer.

I think that what currin20fan is referring to is an error message (THE USB CABLE IS CONNECTED TO THE WRONG PORT) which she gets when she plugs her gps unit into her computer with a USB cable. According to a search on Google for this error message, this is a frequent problem. Somehow the connection is not powered fully and the computer responds with an error. I couldn't find a fix when I searched Google again.

Sometimes, on my Mac, when I connect something to the USB port on the keyboard, I get an similar error message saying that the connection I've tried doesn't work and that I should connect through a USB port on my Imac (instead of the keyboard). It is a similar situation to currin20fan's problem. All USB ports are not equal.

As I said, I can't find a fix. currin20fan has tried other USB ports and other machines but to no avail. She continues to get the same error message. If anyone has a researched suggestion please share it. Not being able to successfully connect to her computer means that she can't add the dealer list file or charge her gps unit via a USB port.
