• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just wondering, since all the '13 engines are the same, did the RS magneto output get kicked up to the RT level?

Most probably. Same engine, same output.

Now having said all of this would it be possible to retrofit the higher ouput magneto/stator to older RS/GS platforms??? Roger or Scotty your thoughts and input would be appreciated. :bowdown::bowdown:
 
It might have been Roger that was looking into the possibility of stuffing a bigger magneto under the hood; I think that one was found...

It may be possible, but probably wouldn't be cost effective. JMHO

Be careful when you say all the 2013 engines are the same. The RT's and ST's share the same two engine assembly part numbers (SE5 and SM5), but RS's have two different assembly part numbers. What the difference is I don't know yet. The 2013 parts catalog does not have a exploded view of the magneto assembly that I can find so I can't be sure if the RS has the higher output magneto. But my guess is that it does because all 2013 models share the same voltage regulator part number. Previous years had different regulators for RS and RT.
